Have had a complaint sitting with them for 2 months. No response now escalating to the ombudsman Update - called as outlined below, told by auto response would get a callback...nothing in 24 hours. Enquiries email inbox and complaints inbox do not respond after 2 months. You can deal with the ombudsman now. Changed provider to Amp at least they know what they are doing.

Absolute nightmare dealing with Fisher Funds. I was forced to pay a public notary TWICE for legally authenticated, English-language documents from Spain, only for their representative, Heather, to reject them because the "wording is not exactly like she wants." This is an utterly unreasonable and bureaucratic demand that demonstrates ZERO common sense or customer service. The document is legally valid, yet they are deliberately creating hurdles and holding my own money hostage over an arbitrary technicality. They are incompetent and obstruct access to your funds. AVOID FISHER FUNDS AT ALL COSTS. I am filing a formal complaint.

In November 2024 I closed my managed funds account which I was putting $50 a week into. Come to find out a year later, October 2025, they did not stop the direct debit and now owed me around $2300. Even after emailing to let them know, they still took $50 out of my account a week later as they still had not cancelled the direct debit. Customer service is disgusting, I was told βcan you be patient?β βThere are no updatesβ βthis is a complex matter, which we told you by email weβd be in touch in the next few days on Thursdayβ very condescending. They do not reply to emails. On the phone I was asked βso you would like the account closed properlyβ ah, yes I had thought youβd done that a year ago. Withdrew my KiwiSaver also as when it changed I could no longer check my balances. Overall, would not recommend at all. I have not even received an apology for the stress, inconvience and time Iβve had to spend on this.

It took fisher funds two months to approve my application, despite their standard processing time being just 15 days. They even requested documents I had already submitted. Overall, it was a frustrating and inefficient experience, and after I filed a complaint, no action has been taken.

I tried to contact customer services to notify them of suspicious activity with my account but gave up after 50 min on hold. I also emailed and sent a message via their AI chatbot but never heard back until the following week.

I have managed funds in NZ with Fisher and in Oz with Hesta. Similar spread of risks. Hesta has, in the last ten years, out performed Fisher by 20-40%. Particularly during the last 2 years. I suggest fisher funds managers deposit all funds with Hesta and take the rest of their life's off. everyone will be a winner.

Never lost money so fast , won't be doing that again, transferred my Kiwisaver bank to my bank and it bounced back fast , also lost $ in a fixed deposit , invest elsewhere

They are great at losing your money and not responding to any enquiries. However, if there is anything else you need, you are better off going somewhere else. Donβt waste your time with them.

Poor experience. I've been on FF since 2020. Invested around 60k which is down around 2 to 3k. I'm on growth fund and understand risks and investments, since I invest myself on foreign stock markets, FF doesn't beat the benchmarks. I would be better off buying an index fund in America. Sad, have contacted the managers, all they say is explain it's a tough couple years, and this funds are risky and I should wait...
