    I have had exceptional care at Milford Eye Clinic dealing with multiple issues with my left eye over the last 6 years. They have now taken me through two operations which have had wonderful results and helped me maintain the overall health of my eyes. Very professional outfit that have gone above and beyond in looking after me. Big call out especially for Dr Rasha Altaie!

    After two years of intravitreal injections for Wet Macula at Milford Eye Clinic at Orewa, the Dr changed. On my fifth appointment I developed rapidly a serious medical event, infection in my eye, Endophthalmitis with high risk of blindness. I was taken to Greenlane Eye as an emergency and had a week of round the clock antibiotic drops and injections and two surgeries to remove infection from my eye. Milford Eye Clinic did not contact me in hospital or on discharge with professional medical advice, a treatment plan, or even an expression of regret from medical Directors of the Clinic, although well aware of how serious the treatment injury was. The clinic did manage to lodge an ACC claim for 'treatment injury' on my behalf and then I was "out of sight, out of mind" literally. At this point I have regained minimal sight and my treatment at a very good clinic will be ongoing for some time with further surgery if and when my eye recovers. This is an entirely factual review.

    I was very unhappy with Milford Eye. I was given an appointment for cataract surgery but after paying for scans and a consultation was told that no surgery times could be offered for my second eye for seven weeks after the first.... totally unacceptable and the clinic have not replied to my request for a consultation refund. Find another eye clinic for your cataracts!
