   Not possible to respond to a review response from this company.. but this is what was responded: "Thanks for your feedback. When we arrived, the vehicle had cut wires and missing relays, so a proper diagnosis wasn’t possible on site. We recommended towing to our workshop to safely assess and fix the issues." The issue here isn't that there are cut wires (there weren't, as another mechanic knew exactly what was going on, those two wires that looked cut connects to a circuit breaker for the windows) I think that you may not have come across a car like this before perhaps? Either way, charging me for nothing isn't ethical despite what you may say. The relay was ONE relay which i had provided!!! you cant lie online and say there were missing relays.. your mechanic didn't know how to connect it so i would question his abilities.. that very same relay was connected by another mechanic so how can they know what was going on where you cant? See your entire business model is to sell a "Mobile" service, yet it means nothing if you can do or offer nothing when mobile. Sorry but that isn't good enough, you need to do better!!

   I booked online in the morning around 8am got a call at 9am that someone would arrive between 10am -12pm and Stacey arrived at 10am. He diagnosed my car very quickly, showed me the issues with my car, gave me cost estimates and different options to consider with his recommendation to ensure its within my budget. He done all the work I needed in the one call out at my home address. Stacey was very friendly and accommodating, I would definitely recommend him and the team to friends and family. Thank you!

   Disappointed in service I got. Driver was friendly, but mentioned he couldn't help as he didn't have a wiring diagram. Only after doing a bit more research, found out this could have been brought with him to my house to determine which wires would work. This is supposed to be an auto electrician, he should have had easy access to platforms (even mobile - esp. if their service is to be mobile) that have the necessary wiring diagrams. I mean i gave my cars information upfront, why could this not have been brought with? At the end of it, nothing was done, nothing was fixed, and i was told to just bring the car through to their workshop (was told it would be likely a 8 hour job to connect one one wire from my sunroof motor and re-connect two electric windows - not sure why it would take this long as the interior is already stripped?? ) I just cant understand why he couldn't find the problem. The car is old (basic setup - so not complex at all). I wouldn't use this service again. $175 after not fixing anything and no diagnostics done. Disappointed.

   Most amazing service ever. Our car wouldn’t start , I called at 815am spoke to a lovely friendly and professional receptionist called Angela. She explained the cost and process, she diverted a mechanic called Avi who arrived and by 10am, we had a replacement battery. Never had this kind of service in NZ. A huge thank you to Angela and Avi for the most incredible service. 10/10 for every aspect.

   Rod was superb with communication and gave us a call when in the vicinity of our residence. He clarified all customer notes upon arriving and inspected our vehicle and pre-arranged supplies to assure a specific oil service can be performed. Task oriented and with attention to detail, Rod was able to complete the service in the time he assured. We were impressed with his promptness. We would highly recommend Rod and Hometune for those looking for mechanics that will come to your residence. Your vehicles will be serviced in good hands!
