   I bought a second hand hybrid vehicle with 113k/12 years on it, and decided to replace the battery now rather than wait for it to start failing, and WOW!! My car is uncommon (Honda Spike) and getting quotes for a new battery wasn't easy, but Ultimate Mechanics were happy to help. The price was very fair (about 2.6k all inclusive), and was done very quickly even though my car was fully packed when I brought it in and the poor gentlemen had to unload and repack it! (I felt terrible; if I had known they'd need to access the interior I would have found a way to bring it in empty, but they didn't even charge extra for the inconvenience!) On top of the excellent service, the performance improvement is crazy!! The drive from Gisborne to Auckland with a fully loaded car, eco mode 90% of the way, no AC, used almost an entire tank of gas: after the new battery was installed, the same trip back with eco use about 25% of the trip and AC blasting, I still had half a tank of gas when I got to Gisborne! I could feel a significant improvement in performance and acceleration as well (even when accounting for eco on/off); absolutely worth the cost and effort of replacing the battery. The new one has a three year/200k (whichever comes first) warranty, which I think really speaks to how confident Ultimate Mechanics is in their product, and makes me feel confident too. I was very nervous going into a mechanic I'd never used before, but even though I inconvenienced them with my loaded car, Ultimate Mechanics honoured the quote they'd given me, worked incredibly quickly, provided great service, and installed a battery that's already proving it's worth. I'm genuinely absolutely stoked and wouldn't hesitate recommending them to ANYONE with a hybrid/EV car. 10/10, five stars, awesome team and one very happy Honda Spike.

   Amazing people...took my car for a check engine, they figured out what the issue was, gave me a courtesy car while they had mine. Although they were unable to source a replacement part immediately, they were very nice to deal with, polite and had reasonable prices.

   Wouldn’t take an older car here (especially for big jobs). Took my van in for head gasket work — they charged an hour for a diagnostic (just confirmed what I already knew), promised a quote but never sent one even weeks later. Probably fine for newer cars or smaller jobs, but otherwise I’d look elsewhere.

   Went to these people to diagnose an engine warning light on the dashboard of my Toyota Aqua. They ran a diagnostic and told me I needed a new hybrid power pack, and they tried to sell me one of 3 options. Turns out, all the car needed was a reset and the problem was solved. They do not show any reports from the diagnostic, and they do not explain anything to you. Stay well away ro these people

   Our first visit to Hybrid Batteries Repair was in 2017. They are known as iTech automotive as well. We had an issue with our Toyota Estima Hybrid. We took our car to different hybrid specialist places in Auckland but found These guys very genuine and trustworthy. We even sold our car to them as they have worked in my car since we own this car. We are based in West Auckland and own two hybrid cars. We use Hybrid Battery repair for servicing our vehicles and any issue which arrives with hybrid batteries.
