Great place for a casual meal. Excellent venue, very friendly staff and great selection of drinks. Meals very generous and million dollar views
Outstanding front-of-house staff, great views and atmosphere. Food variety is excellent but qualityiof dishes varies wildly. (Avoid Curry's if you are looking for any level of heat)
This is a local hospitality club based on membership and casual attendance. The club has an excellent (and popular) restaurant, sporting pursuits, live music and dancing and other club activities. It overlooks the Browns Bay beach and outer Waitemata Harbour. My only criticism is that the club promotes live music and dancing, but on several personal attendances there were dining tables placed all over the small central dance floor. This dissuaded me from joining the club, as my partner and I are keen dancers in our social pursuits.
Hailing from a RSA Club in South Auckland we headed across the harbour bridge in search of a Sea view and found this place. Great lunch, a few games of pool and right down near the beach. Overall an amazing spot and I recommend it 100%.
Head chef yells at his staff like an animal ..... I couldn't accept someone treating me bad like that it's just disgusting. ..... I also wouldn't eat here ..... he let's the roast beef cool off on the floor right next to people's shoes. He needs to learn manners when talking to staff and how he talks is just disgusting to the staff. I just can't recommend this place sorry.
Three stars because it's hard to get inside when your waiting for someone to buzz you. Stairs are little bit of a hike. Good they have a lift for the disabled. Cozy upstairs area split in two. Beers average. Didn't get to try the food.
Went here for lunch. It's located upstairs at the southern end of Browns Bay Beach and overlooks the tidal river and the beach. It was a sunny day, and the views were stunning. The restaurant was spacious, clean, and inviting, and we got to choose our table. Our order was chicken schnitzel and was so yummy. We ordered extra gravy as well. Our server was efficient. It's a good place to visit.
Food definitely not as good it used to be. Wouldn't go back unless they change the chef. Liver was like a piece of leather. We used to love coming here.
