Yet again this team came through - lovely ladies helped me when my online booking didn’t go through and managed to get a cancellation appointment - I feel like they go above and beyond to help patients
Have had really good experiences with Dr Martin Handler, he actually listens and has compassion. The female doctors I have seen at this clinic have all been bad, they brush off the problem or give me a half solution asking me to come back to pay for another appointment (when it could’ve been fixed in the first one). Have walked out of this clinic disappointed on multiple occasions, would recommend trying other options first.
I’ve been a patient at Browns Bay Family Doctors for a while, and while the doctors themselves are great and professional, the experience is consistently let down by the front desk. I have had asthma since childhood and manage it well, yet I’m repeatedly told to book unnecessary appointments just to get routine prescriptions—an expensive and frustrating waste of time. On top of that, the receptionist has been rude on several occasions, making the whole experience unpleasant. It's a shame, because the medical care is good, but the service and attitude at reception really need improvement.
Browns Bay Family Doctors has been the best GP practise I have ever been to. The attention is personal and my Doctor, Dr Hind, really cares and takes time to get to know me personally. My partner Marion can say the same about the practice and also her doctor Sheryl. Thanks to all of you.
Never book with Dr Hind to see your child. She is absolutely terrible. We have booked with her twice due to our normal dr Martin being unavailable and both times has given a wrong conclusion to our child's health which has caused him extra trouble with respiratory. So thankful that we got a second opinion who has/will give the correct care for our child. I do want to note that the reception and our main GP are absolutely amazing.
Have been coming here maybe 6-7 years and have been generally very happy. I haven't personally found the wait time to be a problem and the doctors I have seen (particularly Sheryl and Shashi) have been friendly, knowledgeable and reasonable. They have made me feel heard and valued and have been happy to discuss alternatives options rather than just prescribing unnecessary meds. We did have one encounter with a nurse recently who we felt was trying to push us in a certain direction without hearing us out and have sometimes found reception a little tricky to get hold of, but can't fault the doctors.
I called up to make an appointment for my younger brother in my care after high recommendation about the doctors there - the receptionist was so rude and abrupt with me and was not helpful in taking me through any type of enrollment process or even willing to try - she told me to go to Shore Care. At one point she even interrupted me speaking and cut me off without willing to listen. Starting at reception this lady has made this experience very unpleasant and will not be recommending this place to anyone.
I wish I could give them zero stars. Very poor service.I booked a phone consultation appointment for my child on a Friday. The doctor never called and the weekend is coming what should I do with the sick child? Why are we registered with a GP? Very disappointing.
Really disappointed with their service and won't recommend anyone to go there!!! My partner registered with them about two years ago and prob only went there a couple times. Well..we don't need to go if we are not sick right?! He remembered there was something happened last time and he was considering changing to another GP but couldnt remember exactly what. He got sick a couple days ago and just thought he'd still call them and book an appointment with them. The person who picked up the phone said" well..yes you registered but you havent come to us for a while, right?" My partner said "yea but I havent been sick". Then she said" Then you need to re-register with us again" And my partner said "what? ok. how could I book an appointment?" She said" well..you can try Shore Care". Basically she just asked my partner to go somewhere else. I never have to re-register with my own GP and the receptionist from my GP never talked to me like this.
Amazing clinic, Sheryl is a fantastic knowledgeable doctor, the nurses are well informed and lovely staff all round. Very accommodating. I no longer live on the shore but still use this practice as I wouldn't want to go anywhere else.
