   Sellers beware!! Unethical and dubious practices. Have tried selling a few items with them, one being a near new pair of European branded shoes. Went into the store to look for them and could not find them at all. Went in the following week as I decided to take them back but again couldn't find them. Checked everywhere including changing rooms. The shop assistant went looking for them in the store and found them - out the back, NOT on the shop floor. Why were they not out front for sale??? Dodgy! A different pair of shoes I was interested in suddenly disappeared for weeks in the store, only to reappear again. If I was a seller, I'd regularly check your items are actually on display for sale instead of being potentially put aside for staff. Also check you're not being paid for discounted prices when your items may have sold for full price. Avoid this place at all cost.

   I’ve been a regular at Encore for a while now, and my experience has always been fantastic. My mum and I both have accounts, and the staff has been incredibly helpful, especially on Saturday when they guided us through some of the new techy parts of the process. My mum struggles a bit with technology, but the team was so patient and made it all easy for her. At first, the new online system seemed a bit overwhelming, but now I actually prefer it. It’s so much easier than the old days of calling in for updates. Encore is truly a hidden gem! Every time I drop off clothes, I end up leaving with something new to add to my already full wardrobe. Can’t recommend it enough!

   This is a great store, I have been coming here for years and still make it here every time I am back in New Zealand. The only issue is I’ve noticed in the last few years the pricing of some fast fashion pieces in the store. For example, a dress by Savel which is a fast fashion brand exclusively sold at the Iconic was tagged between $90 and $100…for fast fashion. On the other hand, a 100% silk skirt for $85.

   Novice sellers be aware. Someone is making money at Encore and it's not the naive - yes, that's what I was - person who took an item in to be sold, the very first and probably my last time of going through a Recycled Boutique. My brand new, leather bag bought in Florence, Italy sold for $107 but I only received $38.30! The staff were most empathetic, prattling on about the T&C's which after this experience I have since read other reviews and it seems the owner of this business has no empathy and simply quotes them, and is busy making $$$ and very uncaring.

   Really disappointed, took a beautiful pair of leather trousers for them to sell, they were returned with what looks like scissor mark cuts on the leg. When I notified Encore all I got was a "Sorry, Encore". I've been going to Encore as a customer since it was in the arcade back in the 80s/90's. When I emailed again to say it would be nice for the damage to be acknowledged I was told to "Read the Ts and Cs, Encore" - very unprofessional. Clearly someone needs lessons in customer service.
