   I am writing to share my recent experience with Ascot Hospital Emergency. On 18-jan-2025 @ around 10pm I brought my 84-year-old mother to your emergency department due to a bleeding toe injury. Unfortunately, we had an extremely distressing experience. Despite waiting for over 3.5 hours, her injury was not attended to. As a result, we made the difficult decision to leave without receiving treatment. Adding to the challenge, my 11-year-old daughter was left waiting alone in a hotel room while we tried to address my mother's urgent medical needs. This situation was compounded by the upfront $100 emergency fee, which felt more like a financial obligation than a gateway to care. As a tourist, I trusted that your healthcare system would provide timely and compassionate support in emergencies. However, this experience left me feeling undervalued and unsupported, as if visitors are seen more as sources of revenue than as people in need of care. I accepted my $100 been given as a charity to the hospital administration for adding to there revenue for the better care of visitors.
