I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the exceptional care provided by District Nurse Frances during this mornings visit when I bought my elderly father Fitifiti on October 16th. She changed my elderly father's catheter and replaced his leg bag with the correct 750ml size, showcasing professionalism, courtesy, and empathy throughout the process. On February 7th, I brought my elderly father in for a catheter change, and though we arrived 30 minutes early, Sandra wasted no time greeting us. At 9:00 a.m. sharp, she led us into the treatment room, ready to get started. But more than just performing her duties with professionalism and efficiency, She didn't rush through the appointment. Sandra asked how my father had been since our last visit six weeks ago, showing genuine concern and taking the time to check on his wellbeing beyond the clinical task at hand. During our previous appointment, I mentioned the financial strain of buying nappies for my father, something many caregivers might not think twice about. But Sandra remembered, and she took action. Not only did she make sure my father's care was carried out smoothly, but she had also gone out of her way to follow up on my concern. Friday 6th June Despite the early chill, we were welcomed by Security Guard Harry, whose friendly smile and memory of my father’s name set a comforting tone. The waiting room was warm and inviting—literally—thanks to Harry’s attention to the heat pump, a small detail that made a big difference for Dad. District Nurse Phoebe was a standout—thorough, kind, and attentive. She caught an important detail about dad's previous catheter size and took the time to ensure his comfort by repositioning the statlock pad thoughtfully. Her commitment to dad's well-being was clear, and she ensured that we left with what we needed, even booking our next appointment with care. This morning, Friday 25th July 2025, around 10 am, I want to thank Harry for making sure the waiting area was warm and comfortable. On Wednesday, July 30th, before 10 am, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Sandy at Takanini Healthpoint for going above and beyond to help my 87-year-old father get the 750ml urine leg bags he urgently needed. After facing delays and unhelpful responses from the supplier USL—who told us we’d have to wait until August 13—Sandy stepped in and made it happen. Her kindness and efficiency meant the world to us. I’d also like to thank the security guard, Harry, who kindly handed me the package when I arrived to pick it up. Your compassion and support made a difficult situation easier. Wed 24th Sept, this morning my 87-year-old father urgently needed help with a blocked catheter. From the moment I called, Katrina at reception responded with calm efficiency and managed to secure an appointment quickly. Nurse Janet was exceptional, professional, empathetic and in her communication. She treated dad with dignity, explained every step, and acted swiftly to replace the catheter and leg bag. The instant relief on Dad's face as the bag filled said it all. He was comfortable, re assured and grateful. Special thanks also to Harry, the friendly security guard, whose presence always brings a sense of safety and warmth. On Wednesday, 5 November, Dad and I arrived at Te Whatu Ora Takanini Healthpoint for his 8:20 a.m. catheter change, greeted first by Harry’s warm and grounding smile. His presence alone felt like a quiet blessing, setting a tone of reassurance before we even stepped inside. Nurse Irene guided us with calm professionalism, preparing everything with intention before returning for Dad. Throughout the procedure she was gentle, attentive, and respectful, taking particular care as she placed his statlock pad—an act that showed both skill and compassion. Thank you, Irene, for the dignity you gave Dad, and Harry, for the light you bring to those who walk through those doors. May you both remain blessings in the work you do.

Got discharged today after being looked after by the District nurses for 5.5 months. Whilst I am so happy to finally be discharged I am also so very grateful to have been taken such good care of by all the nurses who looked after me during that time. I definitely would not have healed so well without their help. Also shout out to 2 of the security guards who go out of their way to remember patient names, it makes coming in just that little bit more pleasant.

I have just made a complaint to the health board, about some of the nurses that work here. 2 times nurses have left behind rubbish that my toddler has found and brought them to me. 1st time they left behind a long thick needle and today they left 2 caps behind which looks like white liquid in the caps for a lid for medicine, my toddler is thankfully clever enough not to put it in her mouth or inject herself with it she came straight to me and gave them to me. Also the nurse lied straight to my face today saying that she gave my kid buzzy bee ice before she injected him, in her notes there should be clear instructions that say she must use buzy bee as this helps with the pain. My son is shy and doesnt show pain but he hurts, your nurses should give proper care as your patients have the right to respect and proper care. This is not cool at all the nurses are useless here sorry to state the truth but ive had enough of it now...
