   We spent Friday night here in the emergency admissions. The doctors and nurses were amazing, such lovely caring people. You are treated as a person not a number and receive the very best in care despite how busy they are.

   A beautiful place to spend the rest of your life waiting in a queue. Honestly, the staff seem to be doing their job well, but I can't understand why it took just 10 minutes to see a specialist in a rural Indian hospital, yet I spent six hours in an Auckland emergency department with no hope of even meeting a doctor. Shame on you, NZ health system!

   Due to a debilitating fall at Z Roscommon Road petrol station I was forced to visit the Emergency at North Shore Hospital as my injuries were worsening and Very Painful. Despite spending about 7 hours mainly sitting uncomfortably in the general waiting area, the medical staff were attentive and caring and did give me a bed during the last half-hour of the 7 hours. I received pain meds, a scan, MRI & X-ray, initially showing no fracture, but subsequently was phoned that evening to say I had a fractured rib. On a subsequent visit referred by my doctor for a pelvic X-ray and scan I only had a 5 hour wait. While I appreciate the higher priority cases and waiting times on my 1st visit I didn't even see a doctor and the 2nd visit I saw an Orthopedic Surgeon who appeared somewhat distracted and uninterested in me. Would recommend going elsewhere if you can afford it. The medical care may be free, but the parking is Astronomically HIGH!

   My husband was given excellent care at N/S ED on Saturday the 28th of September. He saw Kate (Nurse Practitioner intern)! Kate was amazing and she gave very professional care, attention and showed empathy! My husband understood everything that he was told which put his mind at rest! Well done!    If you ever see a doctor while attending North Shore ED buy a Lotto ticket soon after, if you can speak tagalog you probably will have a better idea of what is going on in the department while you are there.

   Dr Marcus Seitinger was so friendly and took great care of me from start to finish. It made a scary visit to the ED that much easier. Thank you!! Also a special shout out to the fabulous nurses that do an amazing job always, and to the fab charge nurse Adriana!

   Had to wait 4 hours just to change the dressing.. I understand there are shortages in staff but this is ridiculous! Especially the nurse named Linda. She just made us what almost an hour to get the dressing delivered and had absolutely 0 care in the world to look after the patients.

   Despite expecting my mother, it took in excess of 3 hours to even get her a bed...and that was after having to insist that they did something... you can't keep an 80 yr old with dementia and liver failure sitting, wating for so long. So slow. Painfully slow. The saving grace is the amazing nursing staff there.

   They are the best team, the kindest doctors, nurses and staff. They are very busy and under lots of pressure and they can still provide the services with kindness, explaining everything and answering any questions. How rude from so review to complain about waiting time while they are saying in their review that they went there for something simple to waste the staff time while other people are in critical condition. What do you expect from them to leave life threatening case and comfort you???
