I came here for a 3-month stay during my internship and should have picked something else. The rooms are extremely uninviting and spartanly furnished, and are not always clean when you arrive (broken desk chair, stains on the wall). Barbara, the receptionist, is very incompetent. I had several discussions with her because she miscalculated my rent bills and charged me higher amounts that were incorrect. In addition, you have to pay NZD 160 for bed linen, which I find extremely expensive and unreasonable. You also have to pay an extra NZD 4-5 per wash for the washing machines. The shower in my bathroom was already extremely mouldy when I arrived. Shortly before a new flatmate arrived, Barbara sent someone to check the flat, who then reported the mould to her. She blamed us for it (I had only been there for 3 weeks at the time) and threatened to impose a penalty for the next offence, even though none of us had lived there long enough to be responsible for the mould. When I left, the check-out appointment was not kept and no one came to inspect my room, so I left without a final meeting because I had to catch my flight. The situation with one of my flatmates was also quite bad, but to be fair, the management couldn't do anything about that. That was just the icing on the cake. I would never want to live there again and was glad when I could finally leave.

The apartment manager, an elderly woman with a sharp, sarcastic demeanor, treats Chinese students with "contemptuous smiles" and "impatient waves," keeps cars waiting outside on rainy days and sends students running to them in the rain, not knowing whether to treat only Chinese or not. I wonder if she is related to the school administrator, such an uncharitable person can manage students. I finally learned that not all old people are kind, but those who are not kind will grow old. If you want to live here, you'd better think about it first.

This place is feral. Do not stay or live here. Disgusting environments that are so dirty and toxic. Iโm surprised itโs legal to stay here, you can find places that are much nicer anywhere else in Auckland that are much more affordable. This place rips you off and the lady Barbara is awful to deal with and no help whatsoever. This place needs to be seriously looked at by authorities

Barbara Henderson hates disabled students and is a gutless coward who won't comment about her bigotry. Stay elsewhere that's safer and less hateful.

I stayed in an apartment here for 2 years and I was very happy. I had a room facing onto Oakley Creek so enjoyed the sounds of lots of bird life (and no traffic noise). The rooms and facilities were very nice but the floors are wooden so you might need to stay in comm with Barbara if you have neighbours above you who tread heavily on the floors. I had a good comm line with Barbara and was quickly and easily able to handle any discrepancies that cropped up and was always able to get in comm with someone if there were any issues. This is a very pleasant apartment to stay in and a good location to access shops, markets or hop onto the highway. I also enjoyed many beautiful, long walks through Oakley Creek and there are fantastic walker / biker tracks that lead from the other side of Oakley Creek all the way to Pak'nSave, Mt Albert. I'd recommend these apartments for anyone looking for short-term accommodation.

The manager (Barbara Henderson) was very unresponsive and rude. I texted her on Wed and Thur saying that I wanted to view the room on Thurs but she only replied me on Friday afternoon saying that I could view the room anytime. I then replied her saying that Iโm driving to Unitec (from Mount Wellington) to Unitec for the viewing after reading her text. I arrived Unitec at 4.30pm and still waiting for her reply and she finally replied me approximately 2 hours later saying that sheโs at her office. I texted her telling her the truth that she had been very unresponsive but she was unhappy when I arrived at her office and saying that I should have not said her unresponsive and wanted to argue with me. What a rude and bad service attitude. I decided not to carry on with the room viewing after the way she treated me. I noticed that thereโs another reviewer complaining about her for the similar reason as well.
