I recently became a member of the Oliver MMA Browns Bay team after training at another BJJ club for over a decade. The transition was seamless, Damian the head coach, all the coaches and students at the club have made me feel at home immediately, so much so, my entire family, both my kids switched and my wife has restarted her training there after a 8-9 year hiatus. A big part of my wife's decision to start again, was the choice of classes, standard of coaching & facilities on offer, in addition to the constant evolution of the gym, recently adding more mat space. There's an energy around the club that has rejuvenated my love for the sport where I felt I was slowly losing interest, I'm thankful I signed up here. From hobbyists to serious competitors this club has a class and level for everyone, I highly recommend it. Not only do you get great training, fitness and instruction but you also become part of the whanau and community. Check it out!

Highly recommend Oliver MMA Browns Bay! Damian is a very dedicated coach who shows great passion in Martial Arts. My soon to be 8 year old daughter has been training there for more than a year now and we can see great improvement she's made.
Damian is amazing with his teaching....with regards to all ages being taught. Such a positive environment with structure and discipline. There is so much more than BJJ being taught....also what it means and how to be a positive influence as a member of society. My son loves it. Highly recommended!
Outstanding MMA Gym. Damian has this place humming. Very welcoming environment for kids & adults. Awesome watching the kids grow , not only in the Martial Art, but in been better people as well, every class ends with a little self reflection teaching on how to be a "better person": and I can really see it having and affect on my son as well as the other kids.
I trained here for close to 4 years. One of the best, friendliest, least intimidating gyms I've trained at. Instructors are top notch, and has a great family atmosphere. We'll structured for both kids and adults. Had I not moved out of the area, I'd happily keep training here.
