I got bad service from CoolCar North Shore but that was only the start of it. The real pain started when the owner started climbing in on me. I had to take it to the Disputes Tribunal who reduced the bill but just under half and I then paid it that same day. Don't do business with someone that can't ever accept they're wrong or Compromise.

I was quoted $300 for drying the car and fixing a leak. The team was polite and offered to take another look once I return from Wellington, which I appreciate. However, I was disappointed that the leak wasn’t found and felt the charge was high for the outcome.
A great experience from the start! An online inquiry led to a very prompt response from Catherine and Rodney who provided me with a quote and booked me an appointment within days. The north shore team were great, in particular Miles who diagnosed the issue promptly confirmed the quote and within a couple of hours my car was fixed!
These guys did a great job for me. I had previously taken the car to three other places. As soon as I got talking to CoolCar I could tell that they know everything there is to know about vehicle air conditioning. Also although the job turned out to be way more complicated than expected, they stuck to the price they had quoted me. Highly recommended.

excellent service, friendly team, decent prices; I wholeheartedly recommend them it was easy to get booked in for appointments, they were really accommodating to my schedule, the work was done really quickly and thoroughly, and they were super clear about what was happening throughout they were upfront about risks involved in doing one tricky part, so when there was a chance an unforeseen cost might come up I was informed straight away and given options. then they did everything they could and successfully avoided the cost and even cost me less than the initial quote! the absolute best. thanks so much guys
After my car had been serviced, it broke down twice. The first time was because they had not secured the accelerator cable. If I was on the motorway and had suddenly lost power, I would have been at high risk of an accident. The second time because my aircon was not working and my entire windscreen fogged up and I couldn’t see anything-thing and then my car overheated. Luckily, again, I wasn’t on the motorway because I was driving blind. I did phone management to let them know. I was told my car had issues when it was brought in. This may be true, but both brake downs were as a direct result, and caused by, work that Coolcars had done on my car. They are sending me a gift basket for my inconvenience. They put me in 2 highly dangerous situations. I went to them and not my trusted mechanic because they are supposed to be specialists in car air conditioning systems. I think not.
