   Ripped off by these useless cowboys. Promised to import my caravan from China for half the quoted cost into wellington. Charged double into Auckland a month later than the quote. I ended up paying $20k. Used a shipping container but they couldn’t put the caravan back together again. It is still in pieces and damaged 6 months after. When I had to get someone to pick it up for me, they wouldn’t give it to me unless I paid in full. Knowing I am autistic and homeless made this a little bit evil. Lawyer asked them to use insurance to help me. They refused. The last of my savings is gone. Nasty experience. In response to your response: 1. I gave you 3 months notice of the import. I showed you the quote they gave me. I just needed help with paperwork. 2. The factory shipping quote was roro into Wellington so there would have been no assembly required. They had to take stuff off because you wanted a container. Supposedly cheaper? 3. You promised half price when they quoted$6k. You forgot to add the cost of me having to save it from your friend’s business who was trying to help you. Many things are made in China. You say you import things from China. My experience written here only relates to shipping and my experience. I provided facts for others. This message is for them, not you. I’m happy for them to call me and I can provide written details.

   crooks..dont tell you price then hit you with invoice with 20 different charges...you will never know how much !!!! for small hardtop from new zealand to holland 1700eur!!!

   After trying to work out major issues for a long time, we decided to part ways with CFR and immediately found much better service elsewhere. Doing business with CFR was very draining. We experienced constant damage from their careless loading and unpack. More often than not, they would not notify us of the damage and it would be a nasty surprise. We were then forever liaising with repairers. They did not take sufficient action to assist with damages and reneged on agreement to pay for repairs. I found their staff rude, heavy handed and incompetent. They retrospectively billed us for demurrage and detention on past shipments where ALL invoices were paid and our cargo was released to us by CFR. Several months later, they seized unrelated cargo to the value of over 20 x the value of disputed account as lien (which is so unnecessarily heavy handed). We reluctantly had no choice but to settle the account to get our shipment and will now have to expend more energy in mediation.

   It was a real surprise to hear some Professional, polite and cheerful voice from the reception desk. I was doing business with this comapny for the last few years and never had this polite response from the reception desk. Hope they maintain the same standard for the company .

   I had a car brought in from the USA - CFR Line destroyed the hood strut by forcing the hood closed instead of simply unhinging it. Mistakes happen, however, they refused to pay for it even though I provided direct photographic evidence of the damage. They were in contact via email stating that they will deposit the money, but, this never eventuated, despite multiple calls and promises.
