Highly recommend Penrose Motors, simply an awesome team, so helpful and lovely. Really great communication, they keep you updated, they work really hard to sort your car out. Rare to find this level of service and genuinely nice people.

Strange. Gave detail of 3 elements of work required on the car. All 3 issues were not completed. Told I needed to see specialist for transmission issue for two faults, and 3rd fault would require part to be sent offsite for repair. Just bemused that despite stating and discussing work required that this was the outcome. Surely if transmission isn't their strength, say it. And then they didn't call to say what the result was so had to chase, and then rush to collect before closing. Seemed like clipping the $250 min charge for no output. Disappointing result for the day.

I'm so glad I found this mechanic, the service and treatment you get is outstanding, the team are so friendly and welcoming, knowledgable, and most importantly they don't rush you when you are asking questions. I have just purchased a new second hand Lexus RX450H which is coming up to 100k Km on the clock, and the team did an amazing job servicing everything that needed to be done to make it feel like brand new. They have a policy of doing only what needs to be done, which is fantastic as well, which makes them highly trustworthy. They use only quality approved parts for peace of mind. I really can't recommend these guys highly enough. You make the usually stressful experience of going to a mechanic like first class :) If I could give you six stars I would.

From the first contact by phone to book, these guys were very professional. They listened to me and were very welcoming, though I am a new customer. The team were very professional and respectful. My car had a problem that I was almost sure what caused it but needed a professional opinion. They did a full check on the car and confirmed my suspicion, then fixed the car with my approval. Great report about the condition of the car and potential issues. Their report matched what I knew about the car which is evidence of their honesty. (not a common characteristics with workshops). Pricing wise, the main part that was faulty was charged at 15% markup from RRP. I knew the price of the part given I suspected it and was going to buy it myself. It is common practice that tradies markup part prices at different levels, though they buy parts at trade prices that are usually up to 40% cheaper. (having worked in fleet services for 2 years). I felt labor charges were rather high given that the part changed takes 10 minutes to replace. They would have spent time on diagnostics and engine checks but not to the point where labor hours come up to just under $550. I feel that was on the over-priced side. All in all, they did a good job and fixed my car. I will surely go back to them again, hoping labor charges are better assessed in the future.

That was a very weird experience. In todays world I can change a windscreen just by going on a webpage and get a time and date. Somehow this little shop resists modern technology. I send them two emails, no response. And when I finally called them they told me that they have a policy not to work on cars with water damage under which my car falls because it had a chip in the windscreen. :) At the end I went down on my knees and fixed the issue myself a blown resistor at a control unit. For me it is important for a garage to be responsive and to have my back. Unfortunately I went to the wrong place.
