Fond memories staying here for Form 2 Camp while at Waitakere primary school and particularly enjoyed sailing boats at the bay
I managed to get my 6yr old booked in for 2 of the 3 day camps available these holidays and she had an absolute blast! The team leaders are fantastic, knowledgeable and full of patience. The activities are varied skill levels and always another option available or challenge to be met, Kayaks, Archery Abseiling .Meals were included and a 9- 5 day was full of action- highly recommend for any kids wanting to get out of their comfort zone or city and come enjoy the coast.
We use this place every year for our Choir Camp. It suits our purpose admirably. It's always clean & fresh. The kitchen is excellent.
What an amazing place for camping! YMCA always have great locations, and the lodge size makes it manageable for them to always keep an eye on the kids. There's an air rifle shooting range, a climbing wall, mountain bike tracks, heaps of terrain to explore around hills and farmland, and a beach just below with shallow and calm waters to kayak on. The facilities are clean, and offer all the kids need to have a blast.
Beautiful beach!! Come here once a year with my inlaws and my sons has the time if his life sooo much space to spread out. Take a trip in your free time.
Came here for a night camp with our school. Facilities were great and the instructors/ staff were amazing. Very friendly and great with the kids. There were a range of activities and the children enjoyed everything. Highly recommend coming here.
