Did a WOF on my camper van today , the service was very helpful . The wiper blades needed replacing so they offered to do it which saved me time and also areas that needed attention before the WOF was pointed out to me . Excellent service , done with a smile ..

Got my timing right for a WOF so was quick and easy. Needed new brake pads and they did them straight away so drove away with a new WOF.

Falsely failed due to incompetence, and disgraceful conduct - as it appears is common with this business. VTK failed my car for a suspension arm that was almost new, because it had a urethane bush (which is incredibly common with common replacement parts). After not being able to find the receipt for the arm, I almost went and bought a new car, as the repair cost would not have been worth keeping the car. I then luckily found it and BNT thankfully were able to talk to the vehicle testing compliance officer responsible for the entire Lower North Island, and he confirmed urethane bushes weren't a reason to fail it. Regardless of him telling them this directly, they refused to accept it, necessitating calling him back to talk again. They AGAIN couldn't comprehend what he was telling them, or what the wording in the wof manual says. When I first arrived for the re-check, I asked to speak to the owner, who I was told wasn't there. Then later the mechanic said he was the owner, however then the receptionist (the father) said he was actually a half owner, and got quite angry towards me when I asked why he wasn't honest with me. Then the son (the owner? or half owner?) randomly tells me his dad owns half Paraparaumu industrial precinct. I asked what that had to do with my WOF, and he paused, stared me in the eyes, and deadpan responded - "it means we're in a different class to you". First time I'd ever heard someone ever say that to me, so was quite surprised that this wof guy and his receptionist father were supposedly superior to me - who they don't know from a bar of soap. When asking for my keys to finish the wof and move along, the son agreed to give me a full refund, however as soon as he had the keys, immediately reneged on the agreement (he said he meant he would give me a refund only if he doesn't process the wof). These guys are incompetent, lying, scum operators and I will be going elsewhere in future. Caveat emptor.

1st timing using VTK, ended up being very convenient for our caravan and we also got a super card discount even though we went on a didn't day, so thanks team, will be back next year

We have had our vehicle in to get multiple WOF’s at these premises due to the ease of use (drive through WOF) and have been failed for various things, some worthy and some not so worthy, one being no water in the window washer reservoir, tedious yes. We went in yesterday at 4:40pm (last minute decision, but there site says they close at 5pm), and were turned away as they were closing β€œshortly”, fair enough they do have families to go to as we were told. The person we spoke to said our vehicle wouldn’t pass a warrant anyway due to not having a grill installed (it was off getting painted), their reason when I questioned was that it now has exposed metal to the front, it only had the radiator exposed, no sharp objects or objects projecting from the front and have been informed today that not having grill is no reason to fail a WOF. The real reason for a one star, is purely their attitude and complete lack of customer service skills, the multiple times we have been here their service has always been subpar. We will definitely support another local business that deserves our business, yes we will not have the ease of a β€œdrive through” station, but we would rather go to a local business that wants our business and treats their customers like paying customers.

Drive in, no appointment necessary, just queue up and (provided your vehicle is warrantable) you're good to go. In my experience inspections take about twenty minutes, plus waiting time in the queue. There's a waiting room. Friendly staff.
