While I was disappointed to hear I had to pay a 35% contribution due to my cats age, Petcover has paid out my claims within a few days of lodging, and paid the ARC hospital directly and approved the claim same day. Total was for many thousands of dollars, and it was great to have a no-fuss response during a stressful time. Thank you.

We are incredibly disappointed with our experience with PetCover and would not recommend them. Despite years of loyalty and premium increases of over 60%, our claim for Oscarβs much-needed surgery was unfairly declined due to an exclusion that was not clearly communicated. The exclusion was buried in the fine print of a renewal email and never directly brought to our attentionβsomething we believe a reputable insurer would have done transparently. No goodwill gesture was offered, and the lack of empathy during a stressful time was disheartening. In hindsight, the cost of the surgery combined with years of rising premiums has far outweighed any benefit. We would urge others to consider self-insuring or looking elsewhere for a provider that values honesty and care.

The worst insurance. I have paid for 12 Years and missed one payment due to an expired card. My insurance was cancelled without even calling to check first. Terrible customer service. I have not claimed for years, yet they are happy to put up the premium each year. Almost more expensive than health insurance for a human. The worst experience and customer service and completely over priced.

After 15 years of paying premiums for my cat, it is a real shame that my last real claim turned into nothing short of a joke. This company does not have useful policies for older pets. Beware the βwe reserve the rightβ clauses as they will definitely exercise ALL their rights. On a positive note the staff are very good at explaining why they can only pay a tiny portion of your claim. Save yourself the aggravation of dealing with this company and put your premiums away in your own bank account for vet fees. I am so pleased I did this for my elderly dog. The amount of premiums I have saved has more than covered his vet fees.

Just received a policy renewal doc today for the economy policy. In my dog's lifetime, he has had 1 fractured nail. They will no longer cover him for another. He had a benign lump, any lumps are now exclusions. He had a 1 x gastroenteritis (every dog experiences this at some time in their lifetime and will need vet attention). With all these added to exclusions, and an increase in the policy price, I don't see any reason for using this provider! My advice to any policy owner - DO NOT GO FOR ECONOMY COVER! LIFETIME IS THE ONLY OPTION! It will cost you more in the end and gradually you will receive virtually no cover at a premium, like we have!

One things that stands out with their customer service is the total disconnect and lack of interest in engaging with potential customers which is actually very strange. All the other pet insurance companies are friendly and full of information and following up on our enquiries or online attempts at joining but not Petcover. They have so many bad reviews on Google that someone is bothering to respond but we wonder what the outcome of those responses are. Get your act together guys...if you want to continue to be in the Pet insurance business.

Total rip-off. Don't waste your money. No point in having insurance that you have to pay out yourself for a claim and then try and claim it back, put your premium money in a deposit account and just pay the vet bill yourself when you need it. In my opinion, the product they are selling is not fit for purpose, doesn't help when you need it and gives a false sense of security regarding the wellbeing of your pet. I WOULD GIVE A NEGATIVE 5 RATING IF IT WERE POSSIBLE The only reason they get 1 star is that I can't post this without one. DEFINITELY ONE TO AVOID

I am really impressed by this Pet Insurance provider. My boxer has had cancer among other illnesses that have required major surgery. My Huntaway Cross suffers from a skin irritation that requires expensive prescription drugs. The process is easy. Complete the forms, get the vet to complete their forms, email off to PetPlan and presto the claim in lodged. It takes them less than two weeks to assess. Having this insurance is invaluable and well worth the monthly payments. I have peace of mind knowing that I can afford to get the medical attention that my dogs need without worrying about the cost. 08/2019 Just had to use my insurance again for my Huntaway X and again I paid my $100 excess and the claims were accepted and paid out within one week of submission. This is outstanding service.
