The best crafty experience in Auckland hands down. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. All of the usually hard to find in NZ products in real-life, not just online. Three levels of creative heaven.
Love this place so much - always try to squeeze in a visit whenever I’m in town. Great variety of yarns and other craft products. I only avoid the pen section due to my fatal addiction to Lamy products. How many fountain owns does a girl need?
Today I went to buy some gifts for my mum who has been looking into starting quilting after doing a wide variety of other sewing and crafting activities and unfortunately I didn’t really know a lot about the world of crafting, sewing and quilting. I spoke to Linda on the top floor and she was amazing, super, knowledgeable and very easy to get on with, I honestly couldn’t rate her highly enough. I left feeling a lot more knowledgeable and confident in what I was actually getting her and what might be the best option for her. There was also another lady that came to show me how it all came together and there was also some lady’s at the counter on the way out, all were amazing and very welcoming! I’ll be back for mums next gift!
I’ve only ordered from this company online, but every experience has been excellent. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly, and they’re quick to respond if I ever make a mistake with my order. They sort it out immediately without any fuss. My items always ship out quickly, too. Highly recommend!
Love, love, love going to Ribbon Rose to see what's new and there's always something new and interesting! My latest project was a felt and silk scarf which came as a kit set with instructions. The scarf is so soft and lovely to wear on a cold morning. Today I picked up some Sari Ribbon which I plan to knit to make the front of a cushion cover - on display, one of the staff had knitted a satchel bag. I like the idea that examples of crafted items are on display to spark your creativity! The staff are friendly, very helpful and happy to make suggestions.
Absolutely great service from John, he was incredibly helpful at every point of the interaction despite my faffing as a customer. The store also has a fantastic selection and I would highly recommend it to anybody that enjoys arts and crafts. I’ll definitely be spending more money in there
Loved checking out new building and stock. Great to browse around and found some gorgeous 1m fabric pieces. Did feel for a Saturday an extra couple staff members could have been beneficial to assist on the floor with trying to find things than waiting for the counter staff person to finish serving others. Will be back for sure.
Incredible store with arts, craft, sewing and more across 3 floors. Love their new location! A huge range of product and a lovely warm environment on a rainy day. Great parking options and surprisingly busy on opening at 10am on a Sunday! Will be back

I am a beginner knitter, after 3 hats and two tea cozies, found my next project (a pretty good special)at the Ribbon Rose website. It was at the point of shipping, I found out the shop on the Great South Road is a 8-minute drive from my house. Frankly, i was wowed by the shop, a dream home for handy and seemingly creative people. It covers everything I need and more. A 15-minute pickup chore became an hour of lingering. You should check it out, they carry comprehensive range, from what I can see, quality stuff too, I quickly landed a couple more projects to take on board. Truly amazing!
