My partner and I had a terrible experience at this store... We came in looking for a suit and we speak good english but have a bit of an accent and maybe because of this we were treated like we were poor... an older man came up to us and asked what we were doing in the store. When we asked for help he asked what we can afford which we answered with $300 - $350. He then left us and said "I need to go help real customers!" This is the first time we felt discriminated against in New Zealand and will never come back again. So upsetting to see this and I hope no one else has to go through what we did.

I wish I didn't even have to give a one star rating because I would give a negative rating if I was able. I phoned the store, explained that it was my son's last school ball and I wanted to make the experience special for him. I was told it was best to make an appointment if I wanted to get him fitted. I made an appointment and asked if it was ok for us to bring family in to be a part of this special day. We were told it would be fine. We rocked up at the appointment. The old man behind the counter gave us a look like he was annoyed that we were so many people (there were 10 people) but I had checked that it was ok. The appointment was for 9:30am so it was early and there was no one else in the store. I walked up to the counter and told the man that we were here for an appointment to which he asked "did you want to try things on" and I said yes and he said "I don't have time for that - I am alone in the store!" no apology or anything just straight up NO! I reminded him that I had an appointment and he was frustrated and agreed to help. It was a terrible experience. He was not helpful, he just kind of rushed it and he absolutely stole the experience from my son and our family. I will never ever recommend this place to anyone! Terrible service, horrendously expensive! I can never get that moment back and that is just so disappointing!

We worked with David from Sylvia Park on sorting my Husband's suit for our wedding. Such an easy process! David was super helpful, giving advice and sorted out alterations with speed! Thankyou so much!

I am blown away by the pursuit of excellence and commitment to the customer that all of Rembrandt staff who I had interactions with demonstrate. The staff are very professional in a genuine way, as their passion for men's clothing is evident in their actions. I used Rembrandt for my Wedding with 2x groomsmen of very different sizes. We sought out a less common beige coloured suit which was proving hard to find at standard stores. We needed to wait until the new stock arrived in country however communication from Rembrandt was proactive - I did not have to chase up. Rembrandt operates with a model of having slightly over-length patterns of shirts, & pants with the intention of performing minor tailoring to each clothing piece which requires. This means the pant length always ends up correct. They also have finely incremented sizes of clothing as the underlying passion is to have the customer correctly fitted. This does increase the price slightly above the other off-the-shelf stores, however is still far cheaper than a made from scratch suit from Working Style. There are also package discounts which add up to be significant. My experience: My primary contact was Tristian who absolutely nailed the fitting and knowing which aspects to get tailored. I received text communication updates from Andy in the store and had pleasant communication with him. I also interacted with Ernesto when picking up the suits, I could see the genuine care for the customer as they both worked to carefully pack each suit carry bag and ensure the correct groomsmen names where attached to each one. Rembrandt continued to impress me as the team organised the Napier branch to to facilitate father of the bride suit hire options. They emailed with precise location and time details to pass on to the father of the bride, as well as call me to check a few things. This greatly simplified the suit hire search and made it one less stressful thing off the hectic wedding planning schedule. I also visited the Auckland city branch and had pleasant and co-ordinated experience even with the junior shopkeeper there. The branches don't seem to mind sharing with each other, they are not trying to 'steal the sale'. This lowers the stakes and means I can trust what they are saying.

My fiance had a tailor made suit made by Ernesto for our upcoming wedding and we couldn't be happier with the result! Ernesto and his team have been amazing, welcoming and knowledgeable throughout the whole process. We have managed to find and match the shirt, tie, shoes and belt in the store as well which made it so much easier to complete the whole look. We are very grateful for the incredible job Ernesto did with the suit and we will definitely be coming back to the store for any future tailoring. ♥️

We were helped by Ernesto unfortunately his name does not match his level of earnestness. We came to the store to first browse as a customer and see what are the options here we were not at the stage to buy something. We asked him when we first went some weeks back if there are other options for coats for which he mentioned that it can be tailored. We were at the stage wanting to know more about that but still not interested to buy a coat. I mentioned we would like to know the price and then he had mentioned that depends on what we go with. We agreed that we are interested to go through the process to know the price and see if we like what we are presented with. He called the day before the booking and also again on the day. Still not one of those interactions was it made clear to us that we will at the end of this have to pay. The whole experience we were taken through was great i cannot complain on this. The output was not what we wanted as those options were not available so at this point I was disinterested with going further. However I went through till the end to see the change in cost as that can still inform me what I do next. Payment on the eftpos was the presented. I told him very clearly that I didnt come in today with the intent we buy a coat. And even if we did I didnt have the money on hand as well. If he was more forthcoming to start with and we knew this would be the outcome we would have not wasted his time our ours. What ended up happening was we had to end up paying for this suit. This is where we feel robbed as we didnt want to buy a suit and becuase we were told that we need to go through the measurements to get the price it feels very misleading. I hope my experience will help someone else they decide to go and purchase from here just be aware of this if the sales person does not make it clear. Im not sure if this is a sales tactic or just he forgot but either way be aware of it. Rembrant please make sure staff make this clear from the begining even if they are the store manager who is selling. It feels very deciptful. Ernesto if this was a sales tactic please consider changing your name as that too would be very misleading of what you do.

Travis from Rembrant Sylvia will be the reason I shop here. His knowledge, service and friendliness was far beyond expectation and is a real asset to Rembrant.

Bought a suit which I got adjusted and has lasted me well over 6 years. Nice customer service unlike Barkers next door. Highly recommend

Really disappointed with the customer service recieved today. I purchased my suit from Rembrandt Sylvia Park back in 2021 and the experience I had dealing with Ernesto was exceptional. However the experience today was the complete opposite. A very arrogant young guy who simply seemed disinterested in being helpful. Even after I prompted him several times and explained to him what I was looking for all I recieved were blunt and unfriendly responses. It's such a shame that quality of service recieved at Rembrandt Sylvia Park is in no way a reflection of the percieved quality (not to mention the premium price points) of the Rembrandt brand.

Great service and great suits. Ernesto was a great help, he knew his stuff. Prices are fair, and the quality is excellent. Free measurements and even discounts were given. Extremely friendly and expert store. I highly recommend visiting if you are looking to invest in high quality suits and shoes.
