   I come to Look Shop quite often, and it’s one of my favourite stores. One staff member who really stands out to me is Basil (I hope I’m spelling his name right). He has been my cashier a number of times, and every interaction with him has been a genuinely great experience. He’s constantly incredibly kind, friendly, and easy to talk to. There’s never that awkward silence while paying - the conversation always feels natural, relaxed, and never forced. You can tell he’s being his authentic self, which makes the whole experience really pleasant. Every single time I leave the store feeling happier. 10/10 — Basil is genuinely awesome, and a very kind person Thank you for making my shopping experience 100x better!!❤️❤️

   I went to Look Sharp to get some helium balloons filled. While I was there, I received fantastic service. Even though the team were busy, they kindly took the time to answer my questions and put together my order, which was quite a few balloons. They even tied the balloons together and showed me how to hold them so they wouldn't blow away. I highly recommend Look Sharp for getting helium filled balloons!

   Big store with heaps of party stuff, crafts, and costumes. Cheap prices and lots to choose from. Can get a bit packed inside, but it's fun to shop around. Good for birthdays and events.

   I’m giving one star only because zero stars isn’t an option. This was by far the most disappointing and frustrating shopping experience I’ve had in New Zealand. To begin with, the staff failed to inform me that the item was non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Even worse, they deliberately covered the warning sign with other items, which is clearly misleading. When I asked for a refund, they converted the amount into store credit without my consent—completely unacceptable. Throughout the whole process, the staff displayed a poor attitude and a total lack of basic customer service. It’s shocking and disappointing to encounter such behavior in a country that values consumer rights so highly. I sincerely hope the store takes this feedback seriously and prevents other customers from going through the same unpleasant experience.

   This store is a hidden gem for anyone planning a party. They have a wide variety of items, from cake decorating supplies to party decorations and even unique gift ideas. The prices are reasonable, and there's plenty of parking in the warehouse parking area. Pros: Vast selection: They have everything you need for a party, from balloons to tablecloths. Reasonable prices: The prices are competitive compared to other similar stores in the area. Convenient location: It's located in Albany Mega Centre, making it easy to find. Plenty of parking: There's ample parking available, so you don't have to worry about finding a spot. Con: Lack of price labels: While it's a minor inconvenience, it can be frustrating to browse items without knowing the price upfront. Overall, I highly recommend Look Sharp Store for anyone planning a party or looking for unique gift ideas.

   Wish there was a 0 star. A family member came on behalf of me to pick up my balloons and he walked out without $75 worth of balloons cause the person doing the balloons didn’t give it to him, and didn’t call to ask if we were coming back and didn’t stop him to say about the rest of the balloons. Went in for a refund and they claimed it’s not their fault because they made the balloons and it was my family members fault for not receiving them. Not helpful and unfriendly.

   Really disappointing they wouldn't give us a refund for two costumes that had not been worn. The costumes claim that one size fits most but they did not fit either me (I'm a standard 12) or my partner, who wheres a M mens. They fit like a tight top, rather than the dress length advertised. We had bought other items here and have previously supported this business. Unfortunately wont be choosing to shop here again.
