   Baffled at the service from Michael. I’ve had a dozen + days of leg numbing, shooting pain in my hip, and a dozen more days of excruciating pain in my back from an accrue injury I had in basketball Aug 5. Michael spent5 minutes hurried to look at my mri report, he asked very vague questions and asked if I’m feeling better than when I first got the injury, the answer is yes, and he ruled it out, basically saying you’re okay, this is just normal wear and tear for someone your age and you don’t need surgery. This is genuinely baffling, not because I want to get surgery, but because of the lack of questions, a physical pat down, nothing, in and out in 10 minutes. No advice from him at all, no stories of what he’s seen with other patients, nothing? Genuinely a waste of time seeing the guy after 2 months of my injury. If you are like me, and have to wait months to see the guy, and your not in as much pain as you were to start with, it’s not worth seeing the guy, let alone if you have to pay for it yourself and it not be covered by ACC.

   I recently had neck surgery for a prolapsed disc, it feels great to be pain-free for the first time in ages. The whole process from first appointment, surgery and followup was made so easy by Michael Barnes and his team, special thanks to Jennifer and Claire who are so proffesional and kind. I would highly recommend this business to anyone with spinal issues.

   In 1996 I had surgery to my lumba/sacral spine. At the time, my mobility was severely affected through an accident injury. The change that took place as a result of the surgery was amazing. I no longer needed the support of a trolley to shop in a supermarket. I got back to tramping and climbing the Auckland volcanoes and swimming 2 K at the pool 3x a week. I have now reached my 80s and have some spinal troubles, but I can look back on those years when I regained my mobility with immense gratitude for the kindness and skill of Mr Barnes.    First off, we had to wait more than half an hour past the appointment time. When we got in, no prescriptions at all. Also, the receptionist is very unfriendly. When we asked for clarification, she responded in a rude manner, and did not respond when we left. We left with a very bad image on specialists.

   My name is Jumana Tamimi and here is my honest words and real experience with Dr.Barnes : I am very satisfied with my neck disks replacement surgery,plates and cage..etc , it was a big surgery that changed my life to the best , before the surgery, literally, i couldn't do simple things , my neck is now so good and i can do things like normal people do. I thank you Dr. Barnes millions of thanks for bringing the life back to me after i was really having no hope.. and recovery stage was very good as well and no complications . I am blessed and so lucky that i am under care of Dr.Barnes and his professional team , his manager Jennifer and Clair are both very professional and very nice and caring , anesthetics doctor was great and very kind as well. Dr. Barnes is professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant, he listens and hears what you say, very nice person and I never felt rushed and was seen in concise wait time. His office is very efficient.
