   I am eternally grateful for compassion and care I received from Dean Mistry and his team. After months of pain with a disc protrusion and trapped nerves, I am pain free.    Dean Mistry gave me my life back. I needed a spinal fusion in my lower back. Prior to surgery I couldn’t get out of bed without agonising pain, and I struggled to dress myself.    I recently had an amazing online video consultation with Mr Mistry. The set-up for the consultation to be straightforward and well communicated. During the video consultation, Mr Mistry took the time to show me my scan results and used models to explain my injury in a way that was easy to understand. He was friendly and efficient, which made the whole process a pleasure. What's more, I didn't have to deal with the crazy Auckland traffic, which made the experience stress-free and relaxing. Instead I was able to focus solely on my consultation and gain the knowledge I needed to understand my next steps. Overall, I was incredibly impressed with how effective the online consultation was, and I would highly recommend it.

   I am now pain free. After years of pain killers. Dean Mistry performed a L5 / S1 anterior and posterior fusion. I cannot thank Dean and his team enough. Before surgery I was unable to bend, lift anything, get in the car and sleep without any sharp or ongoing pain. After surgery I stuck to the rehab he instructed which was to walk. Within 6 weeks I was completely off every single pain medication and I am back doing what I love. I can exercise, sleep and move without pain. My only regret is I wish I had done this surgery sooner. You won't regret having surgery with Dean.
