I dealt with this firm recently during the sale of our house. I was really disappointed with how rude Diana was to me when I called her with some questions when it came to settlement. They also quoted a far lower number than what was billed to us in the end, which we felt was misleading as our sale was very straight forward. I would honestly avoid these people - choose another firm where they will quote accurately and will be helpful should you have any questions (which is what you pay them for!).
Bruce returned my call very promptly but while I was asking him a question, he interrupted me saying 'contact someone else, I'm too busy, bye' and hung up on me without even waiting for me to respond. Needless to say that I will be contacting someone else.
This company is particularly cynical. Very expensive for what you get and I'm unhappy with the customer experience. They seem to expect everyone who comes to them to be as savvy in legal matters as they are. They mucked around with paper work to soak up extra billable hours by sending templates back and forth without fixing them to match our needs and any hitch or delay was always made to feel like our fault. The lawyer we were given doesn't work after 3pm so it was always on us to get out of work or scramble around to get to the office when it suited her. She even told me the matter I was bringing to her was "Mickey Mouse". The price they charged for a simple task certainly wasn't Micky Mouse! Overall, I feel totally disrespected and taken advantage of by this shabby outfit. Avoid.
I never actually leave bad reviews but in this case I need to. The good part is that they actually did the work I needed and it was of a satisfactory standard. The bad part is that they quoted me $2k for one job and charged $6k. For another job, the contract fell through and although they never told me there would be a fee if this happened, they still charged me. When I disputed it, they called me non-courteous and inappropriate and insisted that they had mentioned the cost when they hadn't. I literally had to pay them to leave me alone because they immediately started talking about collections and court.
Highly recommend David Towle. Have used him twice now and on both occasions was able to leave my worries at his door having total confidence in his experience.
