Terrible Experience at Lululemon Newmarket I had an awful experience shopping at the Lululemon Newmarket store today. First off, the staff's service attitude was incredibly unfriendly and lacked the warmth you'd expect from such a well-known brand. When I asked about the return policy, the sales associate casually made up a set of company policies that were completely false and didn’t match the return terms I had seen on their website. When I raised the issue, not only did she show no patience in explaining, but she also gave me a visibly dismissive look and even rolled her eyes. I was truly disappointed. For such a reputable brand like Lululemon, to experience service like this is completely unacceptable. I hope the management takes notice of this issue and trains their staff on professionalism and customer service. I will certainly never shop at this store again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

In light of my experience, and based on numerous similar complaints on Google Reviews, I strongly urge new and existing customers to avoid the Lululemon store at Newmarket. The issues at this location include, but are not limited to: Unauthorized overcharging Allowing customers to leave with items that still have security tags attached Refusal to exchange items within 30 days despite tags being intact and items unused Reports of discriminatory behavior from staff (even toward fellow Asian customers) Rude and dismissive service attitudes Refusal to provide or re-issue receipts without reasonable explanation Deliberate misinformation regarding store policies and staff roles Denial of exchanges for defective items unless customers agree to pay extra Price adjustments demanded arbitrarily due to price increases or subjective staff opinions Inadequate and careless size recommendations, with no accountability when issues arise Friendly service during purchase, followed by hostile behavior when problems occur This is the kind of "service" you can expect at this store. It is not only unprofessional but also deeply unethical. I urge consumers to be cautious and not to be misled by the brand’s reputation or the staff’s initial friendliness. Protect your rights, and consider shopping at locations that truly respect their customers.

We had a very bad shopping experience at this store, especially with the two Asian-faced female employees, one of whom claimed to be the manager (who appeared to be of Indian descent), but we contacted the head office afterward to confirm that there was no manager on duty at the store that day. This kind of misinformation calls into question the management and integrity of the entire store. The women were arrogant, lacked the minimum respect for the customers and completely disregarded them. This is a very disappointing service experience and gives us chills about the lululemon brand. It seems that the staff training and internal management of this store needs to be drastically improved. This store's staff training and internal management both need to be drastically improved.

The customer service at this store was appalling, when I came to exchange a faulty item which was purchased 6 months ago, the staff were immediately rude and disrespectful; stating that my item “looks old” and that their items quality isn’t at fault, visibly rolling their eyes at me. If there was no issue with the item, I wouldn’t be in the store trying to exchange it, I have many Lululemon clothes and they definitely do not break after 6 months like this one did. The Asian sales assistant and Indian store manager were both very rude and toxic to me, they refused to honor the refund policy despite me showing them the online terms and conditions; after this they threatened to have me removed from the store if I continued to ask about the policy. These employees are clearly not suited for customer service and should find employment elsewhere.

Partner bought a bunch of leggings, asked if there was a first responders discount and sales assistant adamantly said no. Ended up leaving, find out in an email advertisement later it’s still going on. Can’t be bothered going back over $40 but bloody average service.

The worst customer service experience ever. I purchased a pair of shorts and was no served nicely at all. I understand that you don’t do refunds or exchanges of sale items, but the wrong size was in the wrong area, talked to everyone including the manager, they wouldn’t budge. The store was so busy and it’s our fault for picking the wrong size? Got treated awfully when I explained the situation. Wouldn’t recommend anyone I know to go to this store.

Terrible, aggressive and really confrontational staff. I normally shop at the Takapuna store where staff are lovely and apply a health care worker discount when I shop. I asked about it in Newmarket today and had the strangest most aggressive response from the girl serving us. Definitely won’t shop their again ….

Super unhappy with my experience there. I was overcharged by $10 for a top, the marked price was $125, and I was charged $135. I have tried to go through contacting the team but they have not been helpful. Misleading pricing, breach of consumer guarantees. Make sure you double check the pricing with the sales assistants!! Not shopping here again.

I bought this pair of leggings last week. I usually wear size 18 and tried this size 12 at their fitting room. Was a bit sweating that day so it fitted like gloves as they advertise their products. The lady told me it’s a markdown product which they don’t refund if I change my mind and I understood it. When I got home and tried it the second day after I showered, it was surprisingly loose and I was aware I accepted the “no refund for markdown products”. Then I tried to call them to check if I can get an exchange. No one answered the call. I drove to their store and another lady checked with her manager then refused to do an exchange even if I was willing to pay 31 NZD more for a pair of size down leggings in its original price. I accepted the refund when I paid for it but I was never aware that you can’t even exchange for a size reason. They are not underwear. The lady also found herself in a position eligible enough to educate me that they cannot exchange it because I tried them and I should be responsible for what I chose. Not being able to exchange a product with sizing issue is a new experience for me. Being educated by their staff that I need to be a responsible adult is just another new experience.
