Midas Manukau repaired our car in quick time and provided awesome service. The team was professional, efficient, and easy to deal with. Highly recommend them if you want quality work done without the hassle. The man Mark made it smooth and easy.
I called Midas Manukau to ask for a price, and I was really impressed from the start. The staff member who answered the phone was polite, friendly, and offered me a great deal. I had called many other places before, but this one stood out, so I decided to go there. All the staff were very friendly, and the man who looked after my car gave me excellent advice. I truly felt taken care of. I highly recommend Midas Manukau to everyone, and I will definitely go back again.
Absolutely incredible experience. As someone who doesn’t know much about cars, they explained everything simply and professionally, looked after me and made sure I was comfortable with the servicing and repairs and the staff made me feel at home. I’ve been to a lot of different servicing providers but this branch is 5-star and will be my go-to from now on. The owner is super friendly, his staff were so welcoming and friendly and I trust them completely with my car. I recently visited Midas Manukau, now under new ownership since June this year, and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had at a car service centre. From the moment I walked in, I was warmly welcomed by Shania at reception. Unlike most visits where you drop off your keys and return later, I stayed during the service as I had nowhere else to go. To my surprise, Avi (the owner) kindly handed me the TV remote and invited me to watch Netflix while I waited—something you don’t usually experience at a mechanic! When my car was ready, Mark (the mechanic) went above and beyond. He not only explained in detail what needed attention but also took me into the workshop to physically show me the issues. As a female, I’ve often found car servicing overwhelming and sometimes intimidating, but Mark’s clear explanations made everything easy to understand. It was the first time I truly felt comfortable and respected at a car service centre—thank you Mark. What really stood out to me was the genuine care this family-owned business shows its customers. Avi even offered to water blast my car to remove moss and rust—completely out of kindness, NOT part of the service. I was blown away by his thoughtful gesture. As women, we often hear stories of being overcharged or taken advantage of by mechanics, but at Midas Manukau I felt completely at ease, respected, and well looked after. Their honesty, transparency, and customer-first approach really set them apart. After years of searching for a trustworthy place to service and repair my car, I’ve finally found it—even though I don’t live in Manukau, the drive is well worth it. Thank you Midas Manukau, for your outstanding service. You have now gained a loyal customer. I highly recommend this place to anyone—ESPECIALLY WOMEN - looking for a mechanic they can trust.
I had taken my car for basic service so the price advertised is “from $234.95 includes GST.” However they invoiced me for $369.69 Upon seeing this i was not happy cause it cost more than “from” not once did they tell me it was going to cost more than “from 234.95, and I think as a paying customer i should have been made aware of these extra charges before they went ahead to lay those extras. so i complained to their faces about them not informing me that its going to cost more than 234.95 which basically oil and filter which includes up to 4.5 litres of oil. My car takes 5.2 litres of engine oil which in my head should add extra $20 for 1litres engine oil however they added Synthetic oil (which i am fine with) but” this is where it went up in price i think? scammed i reckon. if i did my own calculations it would in my head cost $234.95+20 around? but instead of doing that they invoiced $332.72 and then while i was complaining he said i can give you a 10% discount “really” (pissed off). Also part of the service my reset service/maintenance light is still showing which means they never set it.
DO NOT Recommend, Take ur car somewhere else where they don’t rip you off.
The fact that the team in Manukau were friendly, explained the repairs in simple terms and were to the point about what needed to be done. Easy to deal with.
Was recommended this place by a relative of mine, but wish I didn’t listen because this guy charged $691 for spending less than 3 hours to do $€*+ all on our car, a 2004 Wish that will probably only sell for $2000. So NO I DON’T RECOMMEND this place. Because it seems if you’re new to the place he will RIP YOU OFF big time. But KARMA will definitely come your way mate.
Avoid at all cost. Not sure how a 550$ service didn’t seem to include any coolant top up whatsoever, considering when I arrived home after picking my car up coolant tank was almost empty. No leak identified in their “Peace of mind” inspection either. Also they might want to take oil leak repairs off their website as if you have an oil leak and it has leaked in your engine bay they refuse to touch it citing environmental laws. Not sure how many customers come in with oil in their engine bay wanting an oil leak fixed or at least diagnosed, as displayed on your website, and get turned away. Won’t be returning, seem very lazy and cash grab.
5 star service! The service was efficient, transparent and affordable (best part!). The customer service was great - the receptionist was warm, inviting and friendly. She was upfront about how long the service would take, costs and kept me updated on things with my car. The staff are knowledgeable and reliable. I’ve found my new go-to. Thank you Midas Manukau
