    We have a household of F&P appliances, washer, dryer, stove, rangehood, fridge, even a cpap machine…. we were loyal customers to a once reputable NZ brand, but unfortunately the quality has gone down hill… our Series 7/ DW60U4I2 dishwasher has required full replacement, not once, but twice in 18 months. The second time, is the reason for this review. The lack of concern, and service received has been nothing but insulting. We asked to speak to a manager and got brushed off, We were left without a dishwasher for 8 weeks due to stock levels, and when they finally got stock no one called us, we had to chase them… the installer has since damaged our brand new kitchen, as well as the dishwasher sticking out about 20mm. I don’t want them back in my home, and we will never be buying this brand or Haier products again.

    Extremely disappointed with both the product quality and the customer service I received. I purchased a Haier HWT70FVW2 washing machine in April 2023, and it has already failed with a major mechanical fault — just 2.5 years after purchase and only 6 months out of warranty. A qualified repair technician inspected it and confirmed that the gearbox, bearing, and main seal had failed, with brown discharge leaking inside the machine. He also confirmed there were no signs of misuse, and that the unit was uneconomical to repair and simply not fit for purpose given its age. What makes this even more frustrating is that this is the second washing machine of the exact same model I’ve had to purchase in six years, which strongly suggests a durability issue with the product. To make matters worse, the customer service I received was appalling. When I phoned on Friday, December 6th at 3:06 pm, the customer service agent I spoke with was extremely rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. When I attempted to explain the assessment report and the technician’s findings, she hung up on me mid-conversation. This is absolutely unacceptable, especially when I was already dealing with a significant appliance failure and had been left without a working washing machine. I emailed the report through three days ago and still haven’t received any kind of acknowledgement or response. Between the premature product failure, the cost of hiring a technician to diagnose the issue, and the shockingly poor customer service, I cannot recommend this company or this model to anyone. I am now pursuing a resolution under the Consumer Guarantees Act, as this product has clearly not met reasonable expectations of durability or quality.

    We've been using Fisher and Paykel for years from Fridges, Ovens Washing machines to Dish Washers. In September 2020 , we got a new ELBA oven. In early June and not even 5 years old , the grill element within the oven has warped within the corner and now needs replacing due to the insulation failing. See Picture FYI = Old Element is at the top. Doing a search on the internet an oven average life span is around 13 -15 years with some going over 20 years. Now I've had ovens before and never had the grill fail within 5 years , all have done over 9 years plus, a number of them the controls gave out before the grill did. Our last one we brought back in 1995 and had no issues at all. In speaking with the specialist oven technician it's also not the only one he's had to replace so soon and stated " Manufacturer Fault ". In Contacting a representative from Fisher and Paykel, the woman was difficult to deal with and stated " We have meet our obligations " given the oven only has a 2 year warranty, blah blah blah and didn't want to hear anything about the " Manufacturer Fault " with the element. Furthermore , why can the competition to them offer 5 year warranties for their ovens and white ware. Fisher and Paykel , you need to do better or you will lose me and others to your competition if not already.

    I purchased (a replacement) DisDrawer a month ago. Since ordering I have been trying to register with the SmartHQ App so I can use the WiFi functionality. The app is broken (in the UK) and does not allow you to get past the registration page. I reported this immediately to the F&P helpline. They confirmed they knew about the error and would update me when fixed. After a month and several follow-up calls and emails, there is still no fix or even information regarding when a fix will be supplied. Given the high end nature of this product, and complete inability for it to function to specification without the App working this is completely unacceptable.

    Utterly appalling; both the product and the customer "service". If I could give ZERO stars, I would. The same sheet of glass in our oven door has exploded twice. This is a very loud, scary and messy experience that has left us without the use of an oven for a prolonged period each time. I just feel lucky to have the skin on my face intact, given both times I was about to open the door to check on my baking. The response from F&P has been pitiful. Despite telling customers while waiting to speak to customer "service" that "your call is very important to us", I have sat on hold for hours. Only to be put on hold again and then hung up upon. After the first door exploded, the first person I spoke with actually laughed at me and scoffed at my suggestion that hot exploding glass poses a health and safety risk. And do not bother even using their 'live chat' option as it is just a time drain and goes nowhere. Now that they've replaced THE SAME piece of glass in this oven TWICE, their solution now is to replace THE SAME piece of glass for a third time! Despite the technician who attended saying he didn't know why the oven door keeps exploding. AVOID Fisher and Paykel. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID!

    If I can I would give 0 star. Warning to everyone! Do not buy fridge from this company. Really bad quality and 2 years old fridge just start to leak water from the bottom. The funny thing is three technicians came but none of them could find the reason. My cupboard became so mouldy for long time but I didn’t know. This makes my families being so sick. They said they only pay $300 for my loss. Also the customer services are really bad until I have the senior staff. I would never come back to this company and I strongly recommend everyone just don’t buy the fridge from them.

    F&P seems like it's lost it unfortunately. I chose F&P when I re-fitted my kitchen 2 years ago but they've been painful. The customer service is shocking. Dishwasher has been out of action for nearly 3 MONTHS due to them needing a part that they obviously refuse to air freight in. Ironically, I drove past one of their service vans yesterday with 'here for the life of your appliance' written on the side, now see-through marketing spin. Very disappointing - would not buy again or recommend.

    Have had the same issue with the lady from fair go Right from the start ripped and oily streaks residue on clothes, unbalanced etc. Thee years later ….5 techs doing different things like tightening belt, replacing Suspension rods and I’m told I should only do half loads warm water and do vinegar rinse after every wash ?? Now today I’m told I have to do drum wash and complain to customer service because he didn’t have all the complaints on his screen. Yes, we both got heated but it’s been 3 years a few hundred in ruined clothes and every tech is calling me a lair !! I’ve read all the complaints and it’s not me at fault clearly!!! Sad
