    Shaun did an awesome job meeting our requests, he listened and came up with some great out of the box options. He followed up, checked in during the decision making process. Being new in NZ, the offers are endless so having someone navigate you through the jungle of kitchen appliances was so helpful. Part of why I bought at Kitchen things in the end is thanks to Shaun.

    Ordered an Asko washing machine on the 5th Oct and was assured stock was available and I could expect delivery within the week. Turns out their stock control is rubbish and nearly three weeks later I am still waiting. Apart from the frustration of not having the use of the machine as promised, Kitchen Things are not proactive with communication. I have had to chase them every few days to get information about the status of the order, no one from the management team ever fronts with an explanation or apology, they just hide behind sales staff. No attempt to put things right, just a collective shrug of the shoulders. We had the same experience with Kitchen Things three months ago when we bought a Smeg oven so I should really have known better than to try again. I've learnt my lesson now.

    Paid in full for two ovens which were to be delivered within the week. Within the week became impossible for them but that was forgivable. First delivery was cancelled just before they were due to arrive (of course I had nothing else to do that day) and second delivery hasn’t arrived and no acknowledgment two days later! Extremely disappointing.

    Don't be fooled by the showroom, sales are made and then it is the owners responsibility to sort everything else after this. Spent hours of my life dealing with these people which I will never get back. Had a sub zero fridge delivered which was leaking water on turning on (day one!!), kitchen things wash there hands of it and say it is the suppliers issue. Supplier says it is a kitchen thing issue and they cant talk to me about it. Customer (Me) is stuck in the middle with a flooded kitchen. Given an asko lpg hob instead of a natural gas hob, once again my job to sort out and I have to pick it up myself from other end of town despite it being 1 week later than they said it would arrive and me paying for delivery. Ordered a miele dishwasher 1 year in advance, told it hadn't arrived yet, then point out the order date was one year ago and was told it can't be delivered due to "tax and ird rules". Out of $60k spent here I didn't have a single product that didn't have a problem, kitchen things was no help sorting anything out. Common excuse given is that it is "covid times" but this doesn't stop a company standing by a product and sorting out problems, none of my problems were covid related, all were service related. Honestly just consider a more reputable dealer.

    • One Year New Miele integrated dishwasher broke down on Monday 27th of September, Error Code Fault F84. • We Lodged a service call online on the same date and was told the technician will be on site on Wednesday 13th of October. • The Technician attended the job and told me that the motherboard is broken they do not have the parts in either New Zealand or Australia !!! The part is on back order from Germany due to arrive in Australia on 4th of November. • Advised by your store manager the part will arrive in NZ on 16th of Nov on 27th of Oct. • Emailed your store manager for update and asking/begging her if they can prebook the technican to attend the repair job given the long waiting time for service on 3rd of Nov • Emailed your store manager for a follow up on 13th of Nov • Just got phone call from Miele that they can attend my job on 3rd of Dec!!! Two months plus without a working dishwahser, go figure what kind of service you will receive from both Kitchen Things and Miele if there is a problem with your appliance.
