   Seemed easy as, it was pouring with rain so didn't hang around but you've rental cars available I believe,.and it's easy walk to town. Quite a long walk from the ferry so just be careful if you have bad hips or anything it can be a little slippery

   So easy to do, the show you what to do, loved the experience of driving on to the ferry and taking the car from one island to another with my mother for the first time, we used to fly when I was younger, but she older now and loved the experience, especially the premium lounge.

   Ah, New Zealand — where nature truly thrives. The scenery is wild, the animals are free, and apparently, so are the passengers. Watching people stretch out and sleep across public seats like it’s their private lounge really adds to the “untamed wilderness” charm. What’s even more impressive is that the staff seem to consider this perfectly normal — perhaps part of the local ecosystem too.

   I recently took the Interislander ferry from Picton to Wellington, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The boarding process was well-organized and easy, with friendly staff guiding us through. We opted for the premium lounge upgrade, which was definitely worth it—comfortable seating, complimentary snacks and drinks, and a quieter atmosphere to relax in. The scenery was absolutely stunning. Cruising through the Marlborough Sounds was a highlight, with calm waters, lush green hills, and plenty of photo opportunities. The facilities onboard were clean and modern, including plenty of seating, food and beverage options, and clean restrooms. There was also a good selection of food at the café, with decent coffee and some tasty local treats. Arrival in Wellington was timely, and the disembarkation was quick and efficient. It’s not just a way to get from one island to the other—it’s an experience in itself. Highly recommend taking the ferry if you're traveling between the North and South Islands!

   Arrived about 20 minutes prior to arrival time and about 30 to 50 trucks, cars, and campers were already in line. Check-in was efficient and easy with a scan of voucher and a few questions. Boarding was well coordinated and efficient.

   Very good experience. Beautiful morning sunset from the upper deck. We were able to but a full breakfast that was really good. Never would have expected that on a ferry ride.

   Although are ferry time was rescheduled, we were still able to get across on our original date as planned. We arrived an hour later than scheduled due to activity in the harbor.Despite all that we had a smooth and beautiful ride to the South Island. Get aboard as soon as possible to grab your seating, lots of seating options. After settling a bit walk around a bit and read some history of the area on posted placquards. Grab a coffee, pastries or a meal at one of the shops should you like. Be sure to see the views from all angles and decks as each one can be beautiful. The crew and Captain were friendly and efficient. Overall, a good experience.

   Pretty long wait to get a board. The service has been great though and the boat was well kept. Booked the premium lounge which was pretty cool. Very nice way to experience things!
