I'm a wheelchair user and arrived at KFC in Silverdale to find both disabled spots taken, one by a Searchfield ute. I went through the drive through and noticed a sparkie asking if the drive through system was working so guessing that was the problem. Had to eat my lunch in the car as I can't get out without a wide disabled park. As I was about to leave I saw the Searchfield sparkie leaving the store so drove over and confronted him. His excuse was it was an emergency. The store was still open, no one was hurt or injured or dying. He went on to say he normally hates people who use disabled parks but because it was an emergency the KFC manager told him to. The manager confirmed this and both of them seemed to think a system issue at KFC was a perfectly good reason to use a disabled park rather than walk an extra 50m from one of the many normal parks. Unacceptable behavior from both companies.
