   I went to see Athena feeling, sick in knots,with a situation I am facing. Aware I only had an hour i was pouring out info as fast as i could. Athena got me on a track to adress what I needed. She helped me accurately communicate concisely what i needed to get results I wanted. Gems. She made me aware of a habit I'd reverted to that I don't want. We did role play for further clarity and understanding. I felt supported, understood, empowered, respected and very comfortable. I left with the sick feeling gone. Relaxed and feeling so blessed by our time together. Carol Thank you Athena, so grateful

   Making the choice to start the journey to your mental recovery is a very personal and vulnerable experience, and having Athena by your side to aide you on the way is comforting. Meeting Athena leaves you feeling at ease as her down to earth, non judgemental attitude inspires you to explore your feelings in an safe environment. I have entrusted my family and friends to Athena after my experience with her and to this day, 3 years later she is still the person I seek out to guide and help me find clarity when the need arise.

   Athena was recommended to me by a friend during a hard time in my life, and I’m so incredibly glad that she was. Athena is warm, kind, insightful and witty. She has a knack for putting me at ease in our sessions. Athena has helped guide, and support me to grow in ways I had originally not thought possible. She is direct, and doesn’t sugar coat things in the best way. She will challenge you and if you allow her, she will help guide you to practical solutions and a deeper understanding in your relationships with your partner, friends, parents and most importantly yourself. I can highly recommend Athena for both single sessions and couples sessions. I would not be the confident and self assured person I am today without her and our regular catch ups. I am so glad my first therapist has been such a fantastic experience. She is worth making the 30 min drive out of the city for!

   After being diagnosed with depression and struggling for years I finally decided to see someone to talk to as things were getting bad. My doctor recommended Athena. I was told I was not depressed didn’t have depression and was just sad. Within 10 minutes she had also decided I have issues triggered by my parents whom I didn’t even bring up and when I continued to explain how they weren’t a issue I was told I was argumentative. It took me along time after this experience to try again with another therapist. This is years later and I still think about this interaction and how much it harmed me and prevented me getting help when that was the goal. If I could give negative stars I would. Don’t go here for help.
