   I was invited the annual Family Christmas breakfast. The lovely friendly warm welcome from staff had me feeling that they know me well! Breakfast was a delicious mouth watering mix of small finger food items: various patisserie products, small potato cakes, smoked cheesy frankfurters, cherries, strawberries, apples & Christmas decorated chocolate biscuits. Drinks were water, mimosa, freshly squeezed orange juice, apple juice and a mix of freshly squeezed fruit including mango. The high ceiling and the long drapes ensured that the room absorbed the chatter.

   During a recent visit to the Wellington Club in Wellington, New Zealand, I had an exceptional experience that deserves recognition. From the moment we arrived, the staff stood out for their warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism. Their friendliness created a welcoming atmosphere, and their attention to detail ensured everything ran seamlessly. They also provided fantastic recommendations for both food and wine, which elevated the dining experience. Our visit was for business, and we hired out the meeting rooms, which were perfect for hosting our guests and facilitating discussions. The staff went above and beyond to make our visitors feel welcome, extending their courtesy to ensure everyone was comfortable and well looked after. Their ability to manage events with such grace and efficiency is truly commendable. The restaurant was another highlight of the visit. The food was simply outstanding, showcasing the quality and care the club is known for. The upstairs view is breathtaking—arguably one of the best spots in Wellington to enjoy a coffee or a relaxed lunch. It’s a setting that perfectly balances elegance and comfort.    The last event I attended was a blast! I can see some maintenance has been completed at the venue and it had a more fresh feel to the space, even though it's heritage building (almost). Parking is still a challenge but I guess there isn't much that can be done about that. Maybe converting the front yard to accommodate a few parking spaces would help, maybe a drop-off lane even? Not sure. =)

   It's a wonderful Club in Wellington City, one of the oldest one in Wellington City. Many of the members are also from Diplomatic Corps and business communities. The membership fee comes quarterly and many of the facilities are member-only access. I came here for meetings, gatherings, seminars and events from Diplomatic Corps in Wellington. It has bar as well, billiard room and fitness facilities for members. It does circulate calendar of events to its members as well. It has beautiful meeting rooms that can be arranged to your needs, including dining rooms or round tables and class room settings. Table services are also available. The building and most of the rooms are disability friendly as well. Parking might be a bit tricky as it is located near the Terrace area with limited street parking spots. But you can get paid parking spots in some parking building in the vicinity.

   Intimate boutique dining experience with friendly, attentive staff. The entire menu is currently gluten free which was definitely appreciated - loved the beef.

   The Wellington Club is New Zealand's oldest private Club. Founded in December 1841, the old classical histrionic decorations are the interior design style. In general it matches the serious meetings here.
