    I had faith in the ombudsman but I was fooled they havent looked at my complete complaint, only looking at anything the bank has been able to get away with they say they follow the banking laws but they dont, they have ignored everything in my complaint that is even backed buy sensible lending act commerce commission fair trading act when I say ignored not even mentioned it in there responce they have ignored what the bank said its would do post my complaint that they havent followed through with, the bank even said I would get a email saying they have accepted my complaint still havent got it and the ombudsman has mad a decision how does that work I am actually disgusted in there handling of my complaint or lack of the contradictions is uncomprehendable, over half my complaint isn't even acknowled even though it is backed buy there so called regulations,

    We engaged this service in order to have a mediation with our bank, which had over promised and completely under delivered in terms of making our approved financing available. The issue is that we incurred significant costs due a completely unacceptable delay of service. It is therefore really disappointing that we find ourselves in a similar situation regarding to the service that the ombudsman is providing, as we are being promised an investigation but it would appear to be lip service. Not sure if they are β€œfree and independent” as they are funded by the banks.

    Sorted my problem out with my bank pretty quickly after they contacted them.

    I was stranded in India and Nepal unable to access ATM funds. Short version I contacted the ombudsman online and got so frustrated at constantly being timed out while the agent looked up my file. I will wait until I return to New Zealand next year to try and get some sensible solutions.

    We owe them especially Kate our deepest gratitude for her understanding,compassion and for achieving a resolution from Kiwibank after they bungled our home loan top up payments and terms. Even though they admitted it was their mistakes, they were only prepared to rectify it at our expense, boy did Kiwibank jump after the banking ombudsman contacted them and from there Kiwibank changed their tune, This should not have had to go this far, many thanks
