   Went to the Wellington store today with my wife and kids, prepared to buy a guitar. When we first walked in, one of the staff greeted me and asked how my day was going, I said good thanks, and you? And that was the end of it. I walked around trying to make it as obvious as possible that I was ready to buy. Didn’t garner any attention from the at least 5 staff members in the store, 2 of whom were chatting about their plans for the weekend. I figured if I picked up an instrument (in defiance of the MANY signs instructing people not to do this), it might draw someone’s attention. It didn’t. We also went into the high price item room - again, no one flinched. Seeing as all other attempts had failed, I went and stood in front of the counter and looked at every staff member, still NO ONE wanted to talk to us. It genuinely felt as if we were being treated as outsiders. We ended up leaving and went up the road to another music store to make our purchases. This sort of experience can be such a turn off not only as a customer to the business, but to people getting in to playing an instrument - this was the equivalent experience and feeling of going to get your first tattoo and the whole store is full of people who treat you like you don’t belong. I’ll never go back there again.

   Bought my first PRS guitar after coming to NZ. I've owned guitars before but they were pre-owned. So this one would be my first very own guitar. Nothing beats a brand spanking new shiny instrument to bring back your lost motivation lol. Great/Best place for any music enthusiast. Great collection. I'm just hoping they bring in some Positive grid spark amp stock. Been waiting for it for quiet since time now. Cheers

   Staff were very knowledgeable and helpful. The service received was first rate. A time and date was given to collect Ukulele and the delivery men turned up bang on time. the set up my Ukulele where I asked them to and again they were very helpful. The Ukulele is exactly as I requested and was also cheaper than other music instruments store in Wellington. I would not hesitate in recommending Rockshop to anyone. One point of improvement I see is there is no refund policy which is not very welcoming to customers. They are certainly the store I will go to for all my future musical needs.
