We love how The Rock Academy makes music fun, inspiring and cool for kids, it’s such a great place for them to learn, grow, and really enjoy playing!
If your child (aged pretty young to about 15 I think?) likes singing, playing keyboards or guitar / bass, I can't recommend this programme highly enough. Our son has been going for years and still loves it. The relaxed atmosphere, the fun they have playing and busking, the excellent young aides and Geoff himself make a winning combination. Our son also attends band school (also organised by Geoff) every week during term and gets lessons from one of Geoff's teachers - all at a very high standard, led by professional musicians. The student concerts Geoff organises are inspiring. If your child is into music, sign them up, stat.
Geoff’s vast experience teaching up and coming musicians is second to none. Every child should learn a musical instrument and I highly recommend they start their musical adventure at the Rock Academy.
My daughter recently started ukulele lessons with Geoff and she loves it. He’s super friendly and encouraging! Praises the kids a lot! They even started to record and compose an original song. Fun and engaging lessons! Highly recommended. 5⭐️s!
Geoff is a legend. Willing to go above and beyond the normal routes to help someone chase their musical dreams. I highly recommend the Rock Academy.
The Rock Academy is an awesome place for kids. There is a lot of work put in by Geoff others to encourage and develop lots of skills and learn new things that the kids might not have been exposed to. I have seen the pupils of The Rock Academy in action at the school holiday busking events and also at the open mike gig nights. What strikes me is that the kids gain so much experience and confidence performing in front of crowds it is truly amazing and such a worthwhile skill to have as a human being. Well done Rock Academy and your team!
Geoff and co have developed in Luke (11) a real passion for guitar and bass, and a great all round knowledge of music genres and instruments generally. Luke can’t get enough of it, and he and the band are pretty awesome! Thanks heaps Geoff - see you at the next gig!!
