I would like to make it clear that this review is not written out of spite, but to provide honest feedback so the team at Kumeū Huapai Panelbeaters can improve their service, and so future customers are aware of certain shortcomings I experienced. I brought my vehicle to the team after an accident in which the underside of my car was damaged. From the day of assessment, I made it clear that my main concern was the condition of the underside and an unusual noise that started after the incident. Unfortunately, despite my repeated emphasis on this issue—both in person and through follow-up calls and messages—it was never properly inspected or repaired. The team assured me the work would take eight days, but when I received my car on the sixth day, the issue I had highlighted multiple times had been ignored. This suggests that the team did not carry out a thorough assessment of the vehicle and did not pay attention to details. As a customer, I rely on their expertise to ensure the car is roadworthy after an accident, including identifying issues beyond visible panel damage. When I raised my concerns, rather than acknowledging that something may have been overlooked, the team appeared defensive and implied that the problem was pre-existing “wear and tear.” I found this disappointing, especially since I drive a hybrid vehicle and could clearly identify that the clunking noise was new and only appeared after the accident. I even offered to provide proof—my car had passed its warrant of fitness less than a month prior, with no such issues reported. I also researched and found that sway bar links (which they claimed were the issue) can indeed be affected by an accident. Despite all this, they continued to shift the blame onto me instead of taking responsibility or showing willingness to reassess the car. Finally I had to write an email to them and also involve my insurance company to get the sway links fixed. To make matters worse, there were visible scratches on both sides of my wheel covers which were not repaired or even mentioned in their report. Attention to detail is critical in quality repair work, and I feel this was lacking. In summary, I believe Kumeū Huapai Panelbeaters could significantly improve in three key areas: • Quality of work – ensure comprehensive inspections and repairs, not just surface-level fixes. • Communication – actively listen to customer concerns and provide transparent, respectful dialogue. • Accountability – when issues arise, take ownership and work collaboratively with the customer to resolve them. I hope this feedback helps the team improve their processes. Attached is a photo of my car after the accident, judge for yourself if an issue with sway bar links after such an accident is far fetched.
These lovely people fixed my van door that was smashed in. When i came back to collect my Van, it came to my pleasant surprise....they had fully cleaned my van interior AND exterior, polished it and the wheels where sparkly. As I was driving home I then realized they had got the van a complimentary wheel alignment! I couldn't of asked for better service! Thank you so much guys A++! Highly recommend! Jack f.

They were professional, efficient, and easy to deal with from start to finish. The repair was completed quickly and to a high standard, and they even washed the vehicle before returning it to me, which was a really appreciated touch. I had a fantastic experience with Sheree, Sue, and the team! They were incredibly efficient, friendly, and professional throughout the entire process. My car was repaired quickly, and they made sure everything was done to a high standard. I was also impressed that they provided a courtesy car with good driving condition, which made the whole experience so much pleasant and easier. Highly recommend their services!
Friendly, welcoming, felt like a family run business. We were the recipients of a Waste management garbage truck hit and run, we even caught the truck on CCTV but Waste Management denied responsibility. My wife and I had to fork out $400 excess to cover the damage, which was hard for us. K&H Panelbeaters were great. The car came back like new and fully cleaned.
Very friendly staff, managed to get me booked in for the next week which was awesome. Work done was perfect and they cleaned the inside and outside of my car beautifully which was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. Would recommend
