I already did some survival/bushcraft courses back in Germany and however still learned a lot at the SOS basic buchcraft survival course and land navigation course. Stu and his team are very experienced and just great people. Thank you SOS team for the great experience!

Where do I start with SOS!? Stu and his team were amazing. Their extensive knowledge, backed by real-life experience in the RNZAF SERE training centre, ensured we were learning from the best. They taught a variety of techniques, from knot tying and finding safe water sources to building natural outdoor shelters, starting a fire, foraging, and even skinning a rabbit. Everything you need for a real-life survival situation was covered comprehensively. I took the three-day course, which was challenging, but the team was incredibly encouraging and supportive throughout. As the only woman in the group, I felt very supported and comfortable. Stu went above and beyond to ensure I felt confident during my solo night. Stu always had great energy and a positive mindset. He, along with the other team members, was patient, encouraging, and empowering. Their approach made the learning experience not only informative but also enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend SOS. I can’t wait to get back out in the woods – it’s calling me!

I've done a 3-day (culminating with a 24-h solo survival phase) wilderness survival course. During the course I've learned a number of 'hard-skills' necessary for survival in an emergency situation like knot tying, starting a fire, building a shelter etc as well as a number of 'soft skills' like the mindset needed to approach this kind of scenarios. I believe that Stu is a great instructor capable of taking a complete beginner like myself from 0 (not being able to take care of myself if I got lost in the bush) to being able to take care of my short-term survival. I've tested my skills in a challenging winter conditions, and I have now the confidence that I will be able to appropriately react to an emergency situation, should the need arise. Great experience. Highly recommended.

I attended the 3-day wilderness survival training with Stu. It was amazing and I cannot recommend the course enough. Stu taught of a wide range of survival skills and was a great instructor. I really enjoyed the 24 hour solo survival challenge and could love to do the course again one day.

I recently did the 2night (3day) course which includes the 24 hour solo survival. I highly recommend Stu’s SOS survival, from start to finish it was a superb experience. I had great fun and met some great people. Stu (the instructor) was brilliant and very informative, he is patient with his students and is very approachable and keen to share his knowledge and experience. You can learn some awesome skills and you can also learn about yourself. I would go back and do it all again for sure. Thanks Stu it was a pleasure!
