My husband and I had a wonderful experience getting special tattoos at Bones. Leila was recommended by a friend and she was just wonderful. Superbly organized, highly professional and skilful, helpful and creates a lovely environment in her studio. Highly recommend.
Wow. Today was my second visit to the studio and I can’t articulate just how much I enjoyed getting another tattoo from Lelia. She is a very talented artist who is meticulous and uniquely creative, with a beautiful soul to boot. It’s an experience that meshes effortlessly with your tattoo journey.
Couldn't say enough positive things about Lelia and her skills as an artist, customer service and just an overall awesome personality. The studio is super cozy and inviting and I love that its by appointment only. Lelia has been reworking and finishing a partially full sleeve for me, and I couldn't be happier with the design work shes done, the care she takes in making sure it looks right and that im happy, and the awesome quality of her work. Definitely fueled me with a new burst of energy for getting more work done ! Thanks for everything Lelia, can't wait for the next appointment!
I recommend this place to EVERYONE I meet that wants to get a new tattoo. Lelia offers an incredible service for both her flash work and designs. Flash is just, ludicrously cheap and well designed, and Lelia is extremely communicative and open minded when taking in design suggestions, and willing to work with her clients to get the best looking, and longest lasting tattoo they can. It also offers a calm relaxing atmosphere with just you, and the artist, in fine contrast to the multi-table setup of most shops, with lots of noise and chaos. Whether you're going in for your first tattoo, or looking to get a full bodysuit (which, I very much intend to do myself); I cannot recommend this place, and this artist enough.
**5 Stars** Bones Tattoo is absolutely fantastic! I have got 23 tattoos done by her and am planning on getting many more. She is hilarious, humble, and incredibly skilled. The studio itself is warm and inviting, making you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. Plus, she has the cutest dog who adds to the charming atmosphere. I couldn't be happier with my tattoos and the overall experiences I’ve had. Highly recommend!
I’ve gotten four tattoos from Lelia and likely will get more! All my tattoos from her have healed so beautifully. She does flawless linework with great attention to detail. Her studio is very relaxing, clean, and private. I love getting tattooed by her and she is lots of fun to chat to :)

Lelia gave me my first tattoo 5 years ago and I've only been going to her ever since. She always delivers on my tattoo designs, I've never been disappointed. Every session she make sure that the placement of the tattoo works well with anatomy of the body. Not only is she a great tattoo artist but an awesome person. I have been getting tattoo's from Lelia now for over three years. Her work has been amazing. Lines are clean and her colour work is amazing. Her attention to detail and being able to create a design from a customer's vision is the best I have seen over my 30 year experience of getting tattoo's across NZ. The studio is nice and private with no interruptions you get her full attention throughout the entire process.
I've been getting tattoos from Lelia for 5 years now and I'm always super impressed with her work. Her line work is on point, even with complex geometrical designs, and she is amazing at solid packing of colour. She is super friendly, responsive, and helpful during consultations and throughout the whole process. The studio is private and peaceful which makes the whole experience so much nicer than other places.
