I had an outstanding experience at Kulture Ink. I am a New Zealander but moved away 20 years earlier. I had been wanting to have a kirituhi done for over a decade and had a lot of design features in mind. However, I was concerned about how my request would be received as I no longer lived in NZ and am pakeha. Kulture Ink responded to my emails immediately and suggested that when I arrived in NZ I come in for a consult. Several weeks later I met with Trevor to discuss a design for the side of my lower leg. He was incredibly welcoming and put me at ease immediately. I showed him a few sketches and he asked me about what I wanted the design to signify and my motivation for having this done. We scheduled a time and I showed up a week later. Trevor spent the first hour transforming my initial sketch into a drawing on my leg that had all the design elements that were important to me but it did not resemble my sketch at all – it was SO MUCH BETTER!!!! Trevor then spent the next 4 hours creating his gift for me. The whole experience and the outcome were really meaningful for me and Trevor understood that. He is true artist and a really great person who really cares about his work, his clients and his community. He even made a video, in which of he describes the meanings of all the different elements so I could share it with my whanau. Kulture Ink is awesome!!! Thanks Trevor. G

I came in last Saturday for their flash special and free barber cut, although they couldn’t fit me in on Saturday they brought me back in on Sunday for my tamoko and my brothers haircut. I am absolutely in love with my tamoko and my brothers hair looks amazing. We struggle with finding a place who can cut his hair as he has tight curls. Trev is super inspiring and has made such a positive impression that I don’t want to go anywhere else but here for my future tattoos :)
