   I ended up having to take my ute to a mechanic after I botched a fairly technical maintenance job that affects every aspect of my diesel motors running. I called around and due to being near Christmas, I wasn't given the time of day. I then called DBR Autocare. I explained the problems via the phone to dave and was surprised at the honesty level and free advice I received prior to bringing him the ute (which is rare from a mechanic) and was then told I could bring it straight down to him. i was kept informed via the phone with continual updates with professional communication (which as a worrier I appreciate) also this was my first time bringing dave a vehicle so with trying an unknown the anxiety is always there. yet within 2 working days, the ute was sorted to the standard I expected then sum. the price from the original quote remained true and accurate and very fair (even cheap). i couldn't be happier with the professional, prompt and expert service I received and has most definitely earned a repeat customer and I couldn't recommend dave at DBR AutoCare highly enough.

   Asked for a quote for a cambelt replacement Unfortunately Dave came back to me with crazy $4500 quote and failed to tell me it was a chain driven vehicle which does not need a cambelt/chain replacement unless chain rattle is heard. It does seem he is scamming his customers out of hard earned money and failing to educated them at the same time. Would not recommend, he is a bit of a grumpy guy too! Not a pleasure to deal with unfortunately.

   David is a top notch auto-mechanic. What puts him above the rest is simple: expertise, professionalism, and quality. I have never used other mechanics so I can't speak for the other options out there. But in my mind, you get what you pay for. David has always taken care of my car and provided twice a year service when needed, tailored to my expectations. No surprises. I think that is why I have never suffered a breakdown other other type of unscheduled maintenance. If you're looking for a great mechanic that you can really trust, David at DBR is your man!

   I've been taking my car here for years, probably 7+. Honest and reliable service. Never had any issues, and Dave goes the extra mile for his customers. For those of you worried about getting a WoF at a mechanic, in case you end up getting fleeced for unnecessary work, DBR does not do that. Rest assured, you will get good honest service.
