   We can’t thank Toy Shop enough for the wonderful job they did repairing our sentimental motorhome that originally belonged to my mum and dad. From the very beginning, they were professional, kind, and extremely respectful of how much this project meant to us. They kept us updated every step of the way with clear communication and regular progress reports, which gave us real peace of mind. The quality of the repair work is outstanding, and it’s clear they take great pride in what they do. It’s rare to find a business that combines such skill with genuine care and professionalism. We’re so grateful for their effort in bringing our motorhome back to life—it means the world to us.    In October 2023, as a result of a medical event, I skimmed the centre barrier on the kapiti expressway tearing every panel on the drivers side of my 2007 xjr Jaguar. The vehicle sat in my car port while i stabilized my medical condition and considered the options. In September 2024 while working away from home my partner ordered a transporter and sent my Jaguar to The Toy Shop in Te Atatu Auckland. She was over seeing head drop as I walked past the car port. I didn't physically see the jaguar again untill 25 July 2025. I had flown to Auckland to pick up my rebuilt car. On that day I again saw my beloved Jaguar. The body was perfect, paint to match, all trimming carefully removed painted and returned, the interior all refurbished, completed in the most minute detail. Then she (the car) was fired up, the crisp sound of the perfectly tuned motor bearly hid the draw of the supercharger. Yes, while under repair less obvious modifications were also undertaken, brakes, suspension , drive train both motor and diff , finished off with ECU remapping, all completed at the Toy Shop. During a walk through The Toy Shop workshop I saw many projects under construction or refinement all being worked on by experts in each of their fields. There was a man for every required trade and it was evident each was hand picked for the team. Over the next two days I drove home. I loved every mile of the journey, responsive motor and handling to match. The acceleration was intoxicating, so much so that I attracted the attention of the red n blues, yes a bag of tickets for the glove box but it was worth it. I'll do my penance later. Thank you Trevor, Anne and the team from Toy Shop, I live again.

   I have been very grateful to have enjoyed trusting The Toy Shop and particularly Trevor with my 1978 Suffix D Range Rover, and am delighted that Trevor has given her a new lease of life. Yes it’s cost a bit but that’s what happens when you own a classic. The biggest concern is finding someone you trust to do what’s required, do it properly and charge a fair price for the skill and experience that is needed to complete the work. I can’t thank you enough Trevor, you can fix things and source parts that others aren’t able to. I will be back, probably often, but willingly and with pleasure. Thanks John

   At some time you may have purchased a car from an owner of a garage only to find in haste you should have left it behind the shed doors. Yes it was her .... that women Mercedes and the dealers fussed over it for a year, and it finally stopped running.... In the end it was which junk yard will take it to... and then you find a shop called the TOY SHOP Auckland New Zealand. With some careful attention, a new second hand engine and some imported mags Mercedes lives again, and the TOP SHOP changed a badly handling shopping car into a tight cornering super charged Mercedes ready for some touring.

   Extremely rude and arrogant swearing at me with total disrespect would never set foot near this place and I wasn't even a customer yet,just because I asked where my car was an he says he knows nothing about it,it was one of his guys that worked on it,where does the owner or anyone treat clients this bad

   I have been using the Toyshop to service my Porsches for years. What I love about Trevor & the crew is that they make you feel really welcome, especially as a woman. They have a beautiful, clean workshop & toy lounge, where you can relax & wait for your car whilst having a chat to one of their knowledgeable team. I love that they talk to you in plain English & explain everything to you before they commit to doing anything. They also tell you what it's going to cost, so there are no surprises! Best of all, as a car lover myself, they know their cars or 'toys' & you can chat to them about everything to do with European or British Cars. They love your Porsche or Land Rover or VW etc. as much as you do :)
