   Had not filed a tax return for 10 years. Searched for a local business accountant in my neighbourhood, west Auckland. Contacted and Michelle from Tax & Trust. She is professional and reassuring in her manner. Over the months worked our way through paperwork. Helped set up XERO (Xero eases the paperwork load). They are easy to work with remotely. Now only in the office once a year to sign. Filed all the late returns. Now filing on time. Great work by Tax & Trust. Got a tax refunds and my tax rate dropped. Good road access with disabled client parking, wheelchair access.

   We had a business planning session with Michelle from Tax & Trust in July 2025. This was such an epic and fun thing to do, both for the business and also for me personally as a new business owner (I opened my law firm in Sept '24). Michelle was really generous with her knowledge - and clearly knows her stuff. Michelle was well-prepared (and came with treats!) and made sure everything ran to schedule on the day. She facilitated some incredible conversations with my team, which were so important for me to hear. I really appreciated how she "sense-checked" the goals we were setting for the business, and could be objective about whether the goals we were setting were too ambitious, or not ambitious enough! All in all, it was a fantastic session and the best investment I have made in my business so far. I also have been using Tax & Trust's accounting services since I opened my firm. It has made meeting my taxation obligations so stress-free. I always love interacting with the team - Shabila, Maria, Rhonda and lately Pratham - as they are so pleasant to work with, prompt and approachable. Full disclosure: I do have a conflict of interest as Michelle is my Mum - but even if she wasn't - I would be writing this review as I have very high standards for my service providers, and the team at Tax & Trust consistently exceed them.

   We needed a specialist accountant in Auckland for our small investment property business and we were fortunate to find Tax and Trust. Michelle and her team provide efficient and effective accounting services. We were satisfied with them and extended services to include new small consultancy business and Family Trustee business. Having all annual returns done in one report is a great way to have everything in one place. I highly recommend them.
