Yes, I agree with other comments made in the post. The person who I talked to on phone was not empathetic and helpful. They felt as though they were in a rush to keep the phone. This is a health care provider, the least you can have is empathy! Please consider changing the reception staff.

Look, don't enroll here. I enrolled my family here since it was the closest but the receptionist are rude and the prices are exploitative. Both of the receptionists have no empathy or manners. They don't tell you how much your appointment will be and then they add extra charges on top. They tried charging my family $100 just to get two pieces of paper signed. All they needed were signatures nothing else. And then the receptionist tells me they'll need to add on extra costs if we want to speak with the doctor about other things. Absolutely appalling service this practice needs to be revamped with new receptionists and protocols. Save yourself the headache and enroll somewhere elsewhere

Monday morning, i tried to call the phone number to make an appointment with the doctor and get the East auckland office instead of the ranui office. I agreed to a call back from ranui to make the appointment. Got called back around midday and got told it's henderson. I said I needed an appointment at ranui, and he said he would put me on the ranui callback list. I get call Tuesday morning from henderson! They say appointment in henderson on Friday! What a joke. I requested an appointment in ranui, and that is the ranui contact number! Need to make an appointment in Ranui as I live there!!! This is not professional service at all!!! There are too many assumptions on the patient!!! Phone lines are messed up!!! It's really frustrating ... add insult to injury. I have a community service card expires 2025 and was only there for a prescription, nothing else. I got charged 39.90! Also as the doctor only been in nz for almost 10 years so he will do no referrals for dates before that. So my life is on stand still thanks to an immigrant doctor with no compassion just wants to get paid and go home. Can get nothing done with Local doctors as you not got a permanent doctor and they will rarely do referrals! I have been suffering longer than these doctors been in this country, and they won't fill a form as it is before they got here! I don't even get a second opinion on an operation I had. I got a second operation with the same doctor and still not right. I did request a different surgeon and got the same one. So yeah, these doctors are only there for a paycheck! And I finally got that appointment over a week later. It is as if they trying to make you angry and frustrated on purpose. The local doctors is not really working at all!!! They are highlighting on the good and hiding the reality of not referring. The last doctor I had seen charged me 39.90 and prescribed me my old medicine, it was when I asked for an referral to waimarino, so I can get an assessment. He said to me he has never done a referral to waimarino before and he not going to start now. I was told by emerge aotearoa that the doctor needs to refer me to waimarino mental health. I am stuck with a system that won't refer me even though I am registered aspergers!!! I have not been properly assessed in a few years. Doctors just want to prescribe drugs!!! Not refer to specialist!!! Doctor also told me to just get a job!!! I am on SLP and am legally not able to work, he read noting but meds prescribed and not much notes about my mental health at all! I go through royal commission abuse in care and get apologized to yet my treatment and care is a total scrap heap thanks to local doctors.

Highly recommend if you can go to another practice, do so! WHITE CROSS or LOCAL DOCTORS is like a factory big on profit & dont care about your wellbeing. You're treated like a number to get through. 2-3 hrs wait time 4 out 5 times I've been thats with an appointment, which your told to attend 30mins early To get an appointment, you need to call a generic line, typically waiting for 40 mins listening to elevator music that gets interrupted with a "thanks for your call" message every 30 sec. Then, the receptionist rings you about 2 hrs later, so you have to make sure you're able to get to your phone. The doctors are extremely dismissive and have caused me more harm. Go somewhere that is not standardized as your needs will not be met here, especially if you have neurological or mental health issues.

I give a 5 star to the previous receptionist when I first went there. She was trying to help me because I lost my voice. But this time, the receptionist was so rude. It seems like she didn't want me to see a doctor there. Really bad experience!

Things have changed since Dr Lindsay and Dr Smith retired from the practice. I've written a review previously about my experiences after visiting the medical centre, and it hasn't been complimentary. Today I went in 30 mins early, as advised. I saw one of the practice nurses who did the usual prechecks, weight, blood pressure etc. I was dreading seeing the Dr as it's always a different Dr, and I was concerned about my blood and urine results. I was also waiting an extra half hour before the Dr called my name. Wow, I was really surprised.... I got to see an older doctor who explained my test results, gave me great advice on what I should be doing next. I told him how I had not been taking medication for a couple of weeks because I couldn't get an appointment. He advised me to book an appointment for 3 months time, gave me the dates and wrote on my next lab test when I should be going to get tested. It was like I was talking to my beloved retired doctor, Dr Lindsay. You are my new favourite Dr Ajit Mohan Johri - thank you for treating me like a "real person/patient" and giving me your time, treatment and advice. I look forward to seeing you in 3 months and I promise to work on the things I need to with my health.

How unfortunate that you wait 1 week for an appointment and the receptionist is standing there talking to you for the last 5 minutes and ends up saying it’s too late the doctor has another appointment gggrrrr, the doctor wouldn’t even allow me to see him for at least 5 minutes, this is really unprofessional for a medical centre. And now I have to wait another week for an appointment.
