   Saw lots of the reviews were old, so took a chance as a walk in without an appointment, and had a great experience! So thought I should write a review. The person who cut my hair was fantastic and really friendly, and they were originally from Iraq, so we had a really fascinating conversation. Definitely can recommend.

   There are a lot of barber shops in Wellington City but after having monthly haircuts in town for the past 20 years or more, for me there are a small number of standout hairdressers in the CBD that form the iconic heart of the industry and Swan Barbers in Bond Street is one of those. There are another 3 Swan Barbershops in the city but Bond Street is my favourite. Very handy location, most often very busy at peak times owing to popularity - they are very accommodating but pays to try to pick an off peak time to visit - staff seem to change regularly however they have a knack of picking hairdressers with good experience and capabilities - took my teenage son in for a scissor cut today - hair was quite shaggy from over the Xmas period and he was a bit apprehensive about about having a decent trim but 20 minutes in the chair resulted in a pretty fantastic professional haircut that completely met both my sons and my expectations - but that's what you get from a decent barbershop - quality consistency, dependability and reliability.
