My wife and I had a great experience with the team and especially with Rachel who helped to deliver our son earlier in July.
Doctors are very consistently late. They cram in a ton of appointments with not enough doctors and you don’t get the attention you pay for. Make sure you set aside atleast an hour beyond your appointment, waiting for each appointment.
I had a wonderful experience with Birthright team! As a first time mum I didn’t know what to do with being pregnant, I asked my friend for recommendation they suggested birthright and it was a great choice. The whole team of Obstetricians are very professional, they are kind and patient with all my questions. I had a couple of times which I had to phone the on call doctor in the middle of the night and very early in the morning, they answered fast and arranged time to see me whenever suits me. I had my baby with c-section and moved to Birthcare for a few days for recovery, their doctor team come and visit everyday to check on me. They gave me a lot of help and support during the whole time I was pregnant and after the surgery. There is not enough thank you so say how grateful I am to the wonderful team.
We had a wonderful experience with everyone on the Birthright team, but especially with Dr. Cindy Ooi, who was with us for the long labor. Dr. Ooi was very patient with answering our countless questions and made sure that we felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. We also want to give high praise to Nadene, one of the front desk staff members. We had recently moved to New Zealand and were navigating the challenges of being in a new country while expecting. Nadene’s patience, understanding and willingness to help made such a difference during a time when everything felt unfamiliar and overwhelming. We couldn’t recommend Birthright more!
After going through IVF, my partner and I had a wonderful experience with the team at Birthright. Each Obstetrician we saw was attentive, and we felt comfortable with any of them delivering our baby girl. The Reception team was always welcoming, friendly and responsive. We especially appreciated the after birth care we recevied from the Midwife as we adjusted to life with our newborn. We felt supported and well informed throughout each stage of our pregnancy and loved the ability to involve other family members in our appointments. We are so grateful to the dedicated Birthright team for the safe arrival of our healthy daughter and would highly recommend them to others.
After losing our son at 8 months under their care, we received no aftercare or condolences from them. I would advise anyone to think twice before entrusting these people with your babies.
1. Despite arriving 20 minutes prior to our scheduled 2:05 appointment, we were made to wait until 2:45 until we had to leave without a scan without any explanation or update on the delay. Waiting for an entire hour was highly unprofessional and disrespectful of our time. 2. Throughout the wait, no apologies or reasons for the delay were provided, apart from vague statements suggesting it depended on the doctor. This lack of communication and transparency added to our frustration. 3. To our dismay, when the previous patients left at 2:20, we observed the doctor engaging in a phone conversation, completely disregarding his duty to attend to patients. This behavior further demonstrated a lack of professionalism. 4. The overall attitude and lack of respect shown towards patients was deeply concerning. I am relieved that this was our first booking and no fees were paid, as it has solidified our decision to avoid Birthright Auckland in the future. 5. It is distressing to imagine a scenario where the doctor might be absent on the day of childbirth, given the disregard for patients demonstrated during our appointment. Considering these circumstances, I strongly advise others to avoid Birthright Auckland. Their unprofessionalism, lack of respect, and poor communication make them an unsuitable choice for any medical care.
I have had my last three babies, (out of four) delivered by Birthright and it has been such a wonderful experience. I find pregnancy really hard and have had C-sections with all three, which I also find hard and scary. The whole team is amazing. Passionate, with patient centric care and incredibly skilled at what they do. I have felt empowered and listened to each time. They have looked after me and my babies so incredibly well and really made challenging and scary times feel doable. I am so grateful. I wish every parent could have the experience of being cared for by them.
Can’t speak highly enough of Birthright. All of the obstetricians were amazing to deal with, super informative and caring. After going through IVF and being high risk we knew from the first appointment we were in safe hands. Dr Olivia Stuart delivered our twin boys via elective c section and we can’t speak highly enough of her. Right from us entering her room in the hospital she was professional and super excited for us. This followed on throughout the c section and after it was over my partner made comment that she was as excited as we were and her passion shined through. Thank you Dr for safely bringing our twin boys into this world we can never thank you enough ❤️
