   Had the pleasure of visit Rodney Wayne St Luke’s and cared for by Supa. She was a friendly, helpful, knowledgeable hair stylist with a fantastic head massage! The treatments offered are sensational and definitely worth the extra cost. The Nespresso coffee is a lovely touch matched with a yummy Whittakers chocolate! Would go back every week if I could afford to!

   I walked in with completely botched hair from another salon’s poor service — and I didn’t even have an appointment. These wonderful ladies managed to juggle things around to fit me in, and I am so, so blown away! I honestly didn’t have much hope for my hair, but the talent each of these girls has is incredible. The way they worked together truly filled my heart. I’m all for women supporting women, and this salons team radiates exactly that - it looks and feels like a safe and happy workplace built on harmony and respect. I love my hair, left feeling like an absolute princess. Thank you for fixing my hair and for creating such a beautiful environment.

   I had an amazing experience at Rodney Wayne St Lukes ! Isaac did an incredible job with my balayage,haircut and style. Isaac really listened to what I wanted and offered helpful suggestions. The result was even better than I expected! The atmosphere was welcoming, and the whole team was friendly and professional. I left feeling confident and refreshed. Highly recommend!

   Not great customer service. I was grateful to find a hair salon open on a Sunday especially prior to a wedding but if I had known I would get a trainee/ student stylist I may have skipped it and just put my hair up instead. My appointment at 10am began with what seemed like a consultation with the junior, then a further consultation with another stylist (Isaac)who seemed much more experienced and confident to advise the first stylist on what to do. I was told it would take 1 hour 15 min for my wash and blow dry and this was inaccurate with an extra 20 min which is very dissimilar to my past experiences with a wash and blow dry (usually under an hour). I think I would have appreciated being asked if I am happy with a junior stylist and I would have paid extra to have a faster blow dry from someone not learning. I am on holiday in Auckland for a very limited time unfortunately and didn’t really want to spend it sitting in a salon longer than I had to - so would have preferred the option. I know people have to learn and I would have no objection if I lived here and had no place to be but it felt disappointing to not have been offered the choice. This is clearly a place that appears to take a lot of care and effort in every customer, I like how they tailor each experience and clearly state the price and timing upfront. I would have loved to say my experience was entirely positive, but unfortunately I can’t. She was very nice but clearly learning and so therefore slow which I found frustrating on this occasion. I also didn’t really appreciate the extra time she took for before and after photos which she could see I was reluctant to agree to but after the second time I gave in. Very odd pricing system also - my wash and blow dry for thick hair that is long (to mid back) was the same price as my mom who has very thin hair and it is shoulder length! My mom asked for a wash and blow dry but the stylist didn’t listen and did GHD curls on top which took twice as long even though we were on a time limit (which she knew about). My friend also had a stylist who didn’t listen and seemed to have to advise her on how to do the hair! Overall a disappointing and frustrating experience that I shall never repeat here. I am visiting friends in Auckland again in May so I’ll probably book somewhere else next time!

   It’s always a pleasure coming into the St Lukes branch! I followed Marguerita here, because she’s amazing. She is a great manager and treats her staff well. I have been served by Jassy, Khadija and Anna, all of whom provide a wonderful and cheerful service. Every St Lukes stylist I’ve dealt with is very skilled and most importantly they have all been willing to listen to me regarding my thoughts on my own hair. They are always honest with their feedback and suggestions, which I appreciate. I always look forward to coming to the salon!

   Went to Rodney Wayne, St Lukes today at 9am.... when i asked the 2 girls if i could get a cut... they laughed!!! "We are fully booked" they said.... (The store was completely empty!! Empty!! Not a soul in sight!) Now, i know they probably had bookings but did they have to laugh at me! I did not find their reaction funny! Rude! Is a better word! Obviously, I left... feeling a little humiliated... Just to make things clear... i have been to Rodney Wayne's many times over the years. (Not st lukes) And I love the products, the service, and the stylists! But i will not return ever again! I found another salon at St Lukes. They did my cut, gave me awesome service and products, at a much cheaper price. Please train your staff to be nicer to their customers and accommodate them as much as possible. thank you.
