   I had a really disappointing experience here. I booked an appointment online, but when I arrived, no one greeted or acknowledged me. I sat down thinking maybe they were busy, but two hairdressers walked past me multiple times without a word—it was like I was invisible. One even finished with her client and was facing directly towards me, yet didn’t say hello or even make eye contact. I’ve never felt so insignificant or unwelcome at a salon. I ended up leaving without being spoken to at all. Really disheartening.

   I was called one hour before the session I booked two weeks prior for my kid, to be told they don't do children's pricing on weekends or after 5:00 during the week. This was not told to me when I booked, or in the follow up texts or the earlier confirmation phone call. It is not on the website, this information is not available anywhere There is a peak time children's haircut, a preschool, primary, intermediate and college haircut, and other versions, all of which are still available to book at any time, but you will be charged more than they advertise if you come in on the weekend (or apparently after 5:00 during the week) with almost no prior notice. The person who called me told me, "This is what the manager wants now." It's very disappointing, I've been very happy with their service up until now, but the call an hour prior with the manager attempting to double the cost, was completely unacceptable.

   Terrible service. Booked online a few days in advance for a standard haircut. Then on the day of my appointment they ring me up to say that unless I only wanted one inch off my hair, as in extremely quick then they were sorry they could not fit me in. I had an event to go to and to be told my appointment was cancelled on the day was not good customer service.

   I'm one of those people who has a love hate relationship with hairdressers... And it can take me years to recover from a bad experience at the receiving end of a pair of scissors. Today I decided four years of trying to trim, shape, colour and curl all by myself has been four years too long, so I ventured forth and presented myself (and my mess of hair) to Shaun at Bay Hair Design & Beauty... Two hours later I walked out of the salon with the most gorgeous head of hair - exactly the shade of red I've been trying to achieve for sooooo long. Everything was just perfect - everyone at the salon was helpful, kind, "fun" and professional... I love my new hair and the process itself was entirely magical... Self-care hasn't felt this good in years. Thanks to Shaun and the team...
