AMAZING! We cant recommend this enough. Our 5 year old daughter was welcomed by her peers from the get go and she has gone from strength to strength under the tuition of her dedicated teachers and the assistance of older students. Being in the Kung Fu environment has enhanced her behaviour, improved her physically and also sharpened her focus, resilience and discipline with a great respect for others and her environment. The Kung Fu School has a warm family feel where respect is exemplified with grace and has been an amazing addition to my daughters learning and growth towards being the best she can be. Our family is an aficionado when it comes to martial arts and this school is exactly what we were looking for our daughter. Not only does the instructor teach philosophy of martial arts, and foster coordination and speed with a holistic but simple approach, but also encourages students to work hard in a fun way. My daughter always looks forward to attending Kung Fu sessions. As for teaching, neither the instructor nor the seniors hesitate when it comes to patiently re-teaching her moves, correcting stances and explaining the meaning behind the moves. When you are between the choices which martial art to pick, keep in mind that Kung Fu does not represent one style of fighting. One the one hand, Shaolin Kung Fu has punches, kicks, joint/wrist locks and lots of hard/soft techniques that are very practical from a self-defence perspective. On the other hand, there are movements that are more akin to acrobatics or dance. And these moves are straight up beautiful to watch.
Before place my son to the Kong Fu school I made I good peace of work comparing different classes available in the area and looking at some of them. What I like in Kong Fu school were responsibility for kids, strong teacher knowledge and quite a lot of knowledgeable people that can replace instructor and make face to face training if required. As well there is quite good mixture of philosophy and practical skills. Seen this people for already a year they start to be like a small family and my son is happily attending all classes
My 13yr old daughter has been learning Kung Fu for two and half years. She just loves it. The other students are great and the instructor is very committed. It is a great community.
Dont procrastinate any longer! Come along and join this fun family friendly Kung Fu school. Scott brings his A game to every class and is always quick with helpful, clear instructions which makes learning fun. Scott welcomes everyone from flexible 5 year olds to grandmothers. Come along and observe a class and you'll see real Kung Fu taught in a respectful way where everyone has a good time while learning a martial art. I cant recommend it highly enough.
