Went to the workshop due to the great reviews and cost to service my front brakes. I was advised to also machine the rotors. After completion not long afterwards I began to intermittently hear a noise from the front brakes as though material was loose - not rocks getting stuck. To be safe I went to my previous mechanic that has done work on my vehicle mentioning I was hearing a noise from the front brakes. I didn't mention to them I had gotten work done on my front brakes. They soon advised me that someone had done work on my brakes, though they didn't machine the rotors and just replaced the brake pads, which isn't safe. I should have done the brakes with the trusted mechanic who already did work on my vehicle - this doubled my costs. No noises ever since.
The team at Grey Lynn Automotive did a fantastic job and went above and beyond to help us out. They were able to fix all the issues with our vehicle for the best price we could find. We also needed our vehicle back at a certain time and they stayed late to make sure it was serviced. I felt confident choosing Grey Lynn automotive and would highly recommend them! Ali worked so hard to get my car back up and running. Honestly, I’d never go anywhere else. It’s hard as a woman to walk into a mechanics by herself and be able to trust that they won’t rip you off, but Ali is as honest as the day is long. Would give him more than 5 stars if I could :)

We did our pre purchase check for our self contained van with Ali. He was very honest and showed us what he was doing. Took around 1,5 hours and cost 150$. Very friendly and funny too!
Legend! Just before our planned trip, my van had a total breakdown. I was already afraid that I would have to cancel several bookings. After knocking on a few mechanics doors, we finally found the right one. Ali took our problem seriously and tried to solve the problem straight away by making a few calls to find the right part.
