During my last two years as a student, I was fortunate to have caring and devoted teachers who filled my experience with fulfillment, meaning, and laughter. However, I received little to no support from the administrative teams, which deeply impacted my education. Whenever I reached out for help, I was met with only brief, one-sentence responses. At one point, we were assigned a teacher who was unqualified for the role. For an entire semester, she merely took attendance while letting us work on essays without providing any materials or guidance. As a result, six students had to retake the course at a cost of $3,000 each, and only two passed. When we sought assistance, we were ignored and later told that it was too late to make any changes. As a 19-year-old international student at the time, I wish I had known how to stand up for myself. I now feel compelled to share my experience, especially knowing that many international students are linked to this school through agencies each year. I hope my story can be helpful to someone facing similar challenges.
